What's new

We are 0-12 against top-3 teams in the West (GSW, SAS & OKC). Does it matter if we make playoff?

I'll take 4 extra national televised games over moving up 1 or 2 spots

We are going to get into the playoffs regardless. But winning last night would have made it more likely that the Jazz have 5-7 nationally televised games.

Cause winning last night helps us avoid the spurs and warriors and get to play the thunder or clippers instead which would likely mean a few wins and therefore more playoff games that are nationally televised

Not that it really helps the cause much but we are actually only 0-11 against these teams! We still got 1 more shot against the Spurs

I would rather just start resting guys and get a higher pick than go through a meaningless 0-4 sweep.

At this point this team is a .500 team and we can be more if we have a go-to scorer, and Hayward is not a #1 option kinda guy.

I would be willing to swap Gobert + stuff to get the 2nd overall pick for Brandon Ingram, he would be great one-two combo with Favors.

I've been of this opinion since last summer. I don't see the point in becoming mediocre, which the Jazz aren't even on the track to become. This rebuild was blotched and will only lead to another rebuild. I realize everyone is pining for something in the win column, but come on, this team isn't even close to the talent level of the failed Clippers experiment. You really want that? Just because you can't handle a few losing seasons?

This kind of antics needs to go.

The kind of antics that needs to go is the OP posting this ****pile of a thread seconds after a gut wrenching loss. From the same poster that doesn't want "his team" to win because teh NBA is about drafting and drafting and drafting until someday you get lucky and win, instead of competing and struggling and improving and building towards the ultimate goal.

Who the **** wants to watch the kind of league these tanking fanboys advocate for? 24 teams trying to lose and six teams playing actual basketball? That's really what you want the NBA to be?

That wasn't antics. That was my honest feeling reading his pile of **** OP. couscous is garbage (not the food, the food is pretty good) and he is genuinely one of my least favorite posters here. If he can say the stupid **** he says I can express my opinion of him.

I can only imagine when tanking is the prime time attraction in the NBA. 1-3 seeds are trying to take their turn at a title, while 4-8 seeds are pissed that they aren't in the lottery despite how they tried to lose.

It'll be a league of undefeated teams. There will be games where the score is 180 to 20 and games where the score is 15 to 12. The one or two times a month where competing teams play each other we'll get to see an actual basketball game.

Players will get contracts that obligate them to throw games if the FO instructs them to.

Organized crime will love it because fixing games will be a breeze. How can you tell if a tanking team threw the game when the whole point for the majority of the league is to throw a game. It'll actually raise suspicions if a player on a tanking team tries.

Boy, it sure will be fun.

Personally as much as I hate to say it, I think we'd get swept by OKC...maybe get 1 at home. We'd take LAC to 6 or 7 games for sure.
