Almost everyone in the league has some sort of problem guarding everyone they come across.

You saying he isn't a good defender?

What I'm saying is he struggles guarding smaller, quicker guards. He can guard the likes of Kobe using his quickness & length but guarding smaller quicker guys I think he'll have trouble with.

Hayward can't guard PG's, I'm sorry. He would get killed trying to keep up with pick n rolls and screens. He did a good job against Parker because he could sag off.

agreed. But, I hope we matchup Hayward, Burks, and Foye in these kind of sag-off situations (whenever you can go under the screen).

Except for the advanced metrics, Ginobili's stats have never blown anyone's socks off. Statwise, I'm thoroughly impressed Harden has put up his numbers on a team with Durant and Westbrook, which suspiciously looks like Ginobili putting up his numbers with Parker and Duncan when he came into the league.

The difference is Harden is putting up Ginobili numbers at a much younger age. His skillset is basically identical -- he can shoot, drive, pass, and take over the offense when needed. Separated from OKC's studs, I think it's crazy not to imagine his floor is Brandon Roy. And Brandon Roy with good knees is a Top 10 player in the game just like Harden is.

Practically speaking, a Harden deal is complicated by the fact that he needs to resign before you give up the store. But there's no question in my mind he's a MAX player.
No, he isnt top 10 player in league..just wow
AND NO, he isnt a MAX player, certainly NOT for the Jazz, franchise suicide right there.

I think Harden and Millsap are close in value to a team. Not quite max players but still very good and valuable to their teams. If we traded Millsap, in essence, for Harden, then our focus changes a little. Our identity changes a bit. For now, our offense will be like Hakeem's Rockets of the 90's. The problem is, if we trade Millsap or Kanter, for Harden, we don't have a four that can shoot the three. It's not a big deal, but if we had 4 shooters and a post player, that'd really spread the floor and make it real easy for AJ to score in the post.

Next, would be Favors moving toward that direction of developing a repertoire of post moves as well. Then, when AJ is gets older or traded, there is no big drop-off in offense. However, if we play them together, then Favors at least needs to consistently hit that free-throw line jumper or the top of the key three. In this scenario, then yes, we could trade for Harden and have a team full of great passers for lots of awesome fast-breaks and easy baskets.

This just illustrates how difficult a job KOC and Lindsey will have over the coming year / season.

I can't wait to see how they deal with the Jefferson & Millsap situation in order to get maximum value for the franchise.
