I'd take Parker. He would bring in new life to the jazz as a rookie. And harden.. ? He's been around and gettin' older. Don't care if he is an all-star or not. He's also one of those players I don't want to see in a jazz jersey too.

This has signature worthy written all over it.

Do it. Date it, bronze it, stuff it up your corn hole if it does ya. I hope I'm wrong. The problm is, I usually stay out of Jazz talk because I just don't care enough to comment... Except when it is clear. C.J. Miles was the last crusade I went on, and I just see a whole lot of C.J. in Parker. (Ya, ya, I don't mean skill wise, I just mean he'll probably never live up to the hype that everyone is giving him. I don't think he'll even get close.)

Parker's younger, has a more well-rounded game and actually might have a snowball's chance of actually staying here.

From everything I've heard, Burks is the next Harden. Do we not believe that or do we want two Hardens?

I would go with Parker.

Not because I think that he will for sure be better than Harden, but more because we know who Harden is as a player, whereas we don't really know who Parker is as a player.

We know (or at least I think we do), that Harden isn't going to lead us to a championship. We don't know that Parker wouldn't be able to do it…granted the chances of it are low, but it is still an unknown, which is why I'm taking Parker. If we were an already established team, I would take Harden, but since we're basically starting everything over, I'm going with Parker.

In my opinion, neither of them ever win a championship.

Oh, and for the guy who said that at least Parker will get you rebounds…on the flip side, at least Harden will get you assists. Parker has shown that he won't/can't do that.

I take Parker because I think he'll shoot a higher percentage and work better within a team concept. Plus, he'll get me some rebounds. I also like a rookie-scale contract given the way the Jazz are evaluating their young talent.

This is a good take.
Harden does average a good amount of assist though (over 4 or 5 per game iirc)

For me, if the contracts were the same, i take harden.
But that rookie scale sways me parkers way

harden is 25 i think..... lol at that being old

Id take Parker.

Its sorta of a gamble, but not that much risk.

Parker fits our team, our city, everything better.

Parker costs less

Parker is bigger. He gives us a better chance at winning championships if he pans out. Harden isnt ever taking down Lebron or KD types. Parker at least has a chance. Also, Harden has to battle KD and Lebron right now. Parker will be in his prime when Lebron and KD start going downhill. Parker will probably be one of the best in the NBA at that point.

We know Harden doesn't play D. I think Parker still has a chance at being a better defender. I dont buy that he cant play D yet? Ive seen some flashes of excellent defense.

Lets also not forget that Parker is still a freshman in college and looks like he could be an allstar in the NBA right now. Parkers ceiling is higher.

Again, it would be a gamble, but its a gamble Im taking. I believe Parker is the real deal. I believe he will surpass Harden at some point before Harden is out of his prime, and just his overall career effectiveness as well.

Lol at anyone voting for Parker, calling him a leader, acting like he is a team player, and is better than Harden.

parker could easily bust, but i like the 'idea' of parker better. so yeah, it's a gamble, but at least he won't cost max money right away. and parker is projected to be a good leader and a team player. because that's what he has shown in his short career so far. i have no reason to doubt he will someday become a leader.

Harden wasn't this bad at defense in OKC. It's a coaching thing. Coach doesn't make him play defense and has never punished him.

Harden defense in OKC will probably be better than any defense Parker will ever play.

How?

Cuz he is a nice guy?

Dude couldn't lead Duke out of the first round and is an atrocious team player. Awful passer and lazy team defender.

Nope. His defense was just as bad in okc. You just didn't notice it. I noticed it then.

Quoting this to say thanks for posting my vid, come to think of it I should of posted it here, you fellas probably would of enjoyed it.

Anyway I take Parker over Harden. He's obviously a lot younger and can grow with this team, he's ready for the next level and therefore can contribute immediately. Harden has proven himself as a star but I still would go with Jabari.

as great as harden in his ISO handles, he gets routinely beaten off the dribble very often especially when he is going to right. almost all of his turnovers are results of him going right in traffic. either he gets straight up pickpocketed, or he just messes up the dribble before he tries to take off to finish. this happens way too much.

and in OT, i hated his body language. his defensive intensity was non existent even in the OT.

i'm now 100% convinced i would take parker over harden. if he is ever available in the market, say hell no to this guy who only knows how to play 1 way.
