There's not much to the Bolden-UK thing.
Lee has added bulk. Haven't heard about any shot improvement.
Skal gets bigger daily /hyperbole
Mulder is impressing but not standing out against the mickey's.
Ulis is hoping to turn pro with a first round pick. He will return if not. I think that's an outside chance.
Matthews has been a pleasant surprise. Not only as a ballhawk but his shot is falling nicely from the outside. We will see if that translates once the lights go on.
More in a few..
Oh... And on Fox. I really don't know.
We aren't 100% confident on any of the guards but feel REALLY good with;
Smith jr.
Alkins
Fox
Fultz (though I think he ends up with the bad guys - Louisville)
Simmons (we are souring a bit)
I simply forgot to add Monk. We feel 50/50 with Arky.Cool. Is there a target weight for Skal?? He's not 216lbs anymore, I'm guessing.

Really a great turn of events, I remember when you were saying Coach Cal wanted Derryck Thornton as a floor general.. That list of dynamic guards looks a lot like a best-case scenario IMO.
Alkins and Fox on the same squad would be quite the tandem, type of players who should be introduced pregame with war drums sounding off.. They play focused and have enough Killer Instinct where it would rub off on the rest of the team.

I want Fultz too though, even if its greedy. He reminds me of D'Angelo Russell before college and is rated similarly. A great combo guard to put next to another combo guard.
Malik Monk is notably absent from that list though.. What do you make of this talk of him playing PG? I'm not sure tbh. I'd certainly rather let Fultz run point than Monk.
Skal just weighed in at 232. Target is 240.Cool. Is there a target weight for Skal?? He's not 216lbs anymore, I'm guessing.

Are you ogling PGs in the 2017 draft already? I doubt we go for one next year, but if Dante doesn't show good signs after his return 2017 PG must be on the table.
Draft experts I've got a question...
Any point guards with potential that can be had at around #15 - #19 next year?
.. this ****s kinda depressing... I almost don't see how or why they wouldn't take a PG in this 2016 draft, all the other positions are at least 2 deep and young... Are they really gonna go after some other position?! doesn't seem logical. They can't let this PG issue fester for 2 more years, then look to solve it with a rookie, that just doesn't seem right. Either a 2016 PG or Trade for one, If Trey Burke doesn't make some miracle turnaround this season.
I don't think they'll give up on Dante either, not with Snyder around...
There will be solid PG's on the board for the Jazz in 2017 no matter where they pick. And they'll have 2 first rounders that year.. There could be a huge run on PG's in the lottery, It's by-far the best crop of PG's since the '09 draft. There's a decent list of combo guards in the middle of transitioning to PG that could end up major factors too.
So I can't help but think that now the Jazz would have no business passing on Isaiah Briscoe, who even in a glut of Jazz combo guards, wouldn't exactly be redundant.

Yeah, I doubt they will give up on Dante and I don't want them to give up on him, but surely they should be thinking about contingency plans. The 2017 crop of PGs is extremely strong in both the draft and free agency. I don't think we will be left without a good starting PG past 2017. The point is... that's the year we might lose Hayward, so I think we need good PG play before that in order to have better chance at keeping him and showing him just how good this team can be with good PG play. I would love Dunn or Murray next year. I'm still not sure about Briscoe... he's kind of weird to me from the little I've watched. I'm not sure I love him.

I posted a big list of PG's last year that had D'Angelo Russell near the top, when some still considered him a SG (pre-season).
Here's this year's list.
I'll try to avoid prospects that seem doomed to the 2nd round at-best, E.G. Fred VanVleet... SG's trying to convert to PG's are included, but not all, for instance I'm not really buying the Caris LaVert PG hype.
3 tiers; 1 - the established ones, 2 - the fringe, 3 - unlikely, but might have a chance.
Tier 1 - Jamal Murray(UK), Malik Newman(MSU - The ****ty one), Kris Dunn(Providence), Demetrius Jackson (ND), Melo Trimble (MD)
Tier 2 - E.C. Matthews(Rhode Island), Tyler Ulis(UK), Tim Quarterman(LSU), Tyrone Wallace (Cal) Jalen Brunson (Villanova), Derryck Thornton (Duke)
Tier 3 - Marcus Paige(UNC), George De Paula, Allonzo Trier(Arizona), P.J. Dozier(USC - The ****ty one), Isaiah Taylor(Texas), Tyler Dorsey(Oregon), Cat Barber(NC St.), Justin Simon(Arizona) and Devonte Graham(Kansas)
And let me throw one player in there with from outside the top-100 HS rankings as a major longshot, Corey Sanders(Rutgers). An absolute freak athlete who will need to improve his discipline a ton, as he plays like an And-1 player. He will find his way into the Sportscenters top-10 a few times in his college career for sure.
