I find it hilarious how mad people around here get if you question the decisions of the team.
In these 24 pages has anyone answered this question that I posted on the 1st??
who was the last player "out indefinitely" that was traded in the NBA ??
In what world does the 4th team in the east trade a starting PG for a SG that's out indefinitely??? seems like fantasy to me.

The Knicks are terrible and have been since the Ewing days. Even then they could only get to one NBA finals; and that was their first since 1972. No, the Knicks are content to HEMORRHAGE money to build a team. Same thing they've been doing for decades. Hasn't worked out so well, has it? Plus, big market teams with built in wealth (the NYK is the most valuable NBA franchise) have WAY more flexibility to take risks. And if their fans don't like it, the team DGAF - they'll do what they see fit. There's NO WAY the Jazz could afford to do that on so many levels.
As far as no major FA coming to the Utah Jazz: this is been the case since day 1, 1979 and it hasn't changed. After almost 40 years, one would have to understand that this would be the case in perpetuity unless the Jazz get REALLY lucky. So this should be treated as a given fact and not something to beat up management over.
So, realistically and from a competitive standpoint, the formula the Jazz are using is practical and sensible as opposed to wreckless. And that's our Jazz
I don't think "mad" is the correct operative word here. I for certain am not upset in any way. Just having discussion.![]()
words are cool and all. let me know when the Jazz formula works. k?
They clear cap room for next year... we use cap room. We are about $7M under the cap currently so we can use that plus the other guys to make the schematics work. Salary is always a consideration.
You have to give something of value to get something. You aren't acquiring teague for Burke and filler. I think Mil. would give them the Clippers pick they have or some other fringe asset that would beat the Burke plus filler offer.
Burke, withey, 2016 first round draft pick. Get it done!
Ball park Frank: what do you suggest the jazz do instead of building like they are? It's not as if Hayward, favors and gobert are scrubs. Hood is looking like a pretty sure thing too. The fact that they haven't signed or traded for another borderline star doesn't mean they never will. It just means they haven't found the right deal yet.
Are we as fans buying a load of crap? Sure. But at least we haven't traded everything like the teams in new York and have nothing to show for it.
New York is better than the Jazz this year.
To their peril. They're gunna be stuck with Zingus and nothin else. Melo needs to go yesterday.
Perhaps Exum will turn into a solid bench player
Maybe Hood will become a serviceable starter a la Marvin Williams
Perhaps Hayward will improve slightly more
Maybe Favors will as well
Perhaps Gobert won't be an offensive sink hole to fill every nigh
Maybe the Jazz will get lucky and draft a player in the second round who breaks out (before players are let go in free agency)
Perhaps the Jazz won't blow it all up again
Maybe the Jazz will bring in another painful patch like Al Jefferson
Perhaps then they will blow it up
Maybe.
Perhaps Exum will turn into a solid bench player
Maybe Hood will become a serviceable starter a la Marvin Williams

Due to favors, Burks, Gobert, and exum injuriesNew York is better than the Jazz this year.
