I agree with you about shot creation for others, but the Jazz offense floated around top 10 for a large part of the season and finished middle of the pack. The only thing bottom 5 about the Jazz offense is the assist statistics. It makes sense considering the group of players playing PG last season. I believe fast break points were a struggle for this Jazz team as well.
On offense we need a PG who can run an offense and create shots for others (Exum is our guy) and we need spacing like you said.
Why settle for top 10, top 5 defense? Why not be the best defense? The 2012-2014 Pacers, Thib's Bulls teams, even last years Spurs. That's the model the Jazz should be following and frankly we are lacking perimeter defenders. The 121.3 DRtg in the last 5 minutes is eye-popping. They are in the company of the Suns, Lakers, 76ers, and Pelicans.
Which stats are you using to bring you to the top 10 rating? Or "middle of the pack"? Also zero ppl in the world know if Exum is our guy or not. He was contact-hesitant before tearing his ACL trying to draw fouls. I'm still high on him but don't act like it isn't a huge question mark
