When I say his floor is George Hill, what I mean is that worst case scenario, his fully developed self will be George Hill. Not that he'll be George Hill as a rookie.
Yes, he did have a problem finishing. Watching a lot of his tape, I think some of it is because he went soft with a finger roll a lot, he needs to abandon that, learn a floater, and finish harder. Easier said than done of course, but very doable. As for not getting into the lane, I'd have to disagree. He averaged almost 6 FT's a game with a fairly low usage. He had a great FT rate number...all of those are indicative of getting into the lane. He really just needs to fix his handle. It's way too basic, but again, compared to his freshman year, it's a ton better. So why wouldn't we expect him to improve that when he can train full time?
I'm not too worried about him locking in on defense. The pros are a totally different story when it comes to that IMO. It's not like he never did it, just that he lapsed sometimes. Most good defensive prospects have had the same thing said about them.
