Luol Deng ends up in Utah (Rumour)

Maybe. If Hill shoots the 3pt shot like he did post-all star break and and in the playoffs, he is a better offensive player than Ingles.

Book shot 36% from 3 after the break... you believin it?

Deng and Hill are TREMENDOUS upgrades over Ingles and Booker. Both are better than league average starters for one. Ingles and Booker will NEVER be even poor rotational starters. We have our project, his name is Trey Lyles. He is still two years out from being something special. Quincy Acy, Brandon Bass, and Booker don't move the needle at all, and we need to stop wasting people's time with these type of pickups. Settling for chumps like these helps build Utah's rep as a "poor free agency destination." Nobody wan't to share a billing with those guys.

Acy is likely as good as Hill... better shooter better rebounder. Probably not as good at guarding wings. Will be a third the cost of Hill.

Deng is better than all right now, but has never given back anything in negotiations (ask Danny Ferry) and is on the decline and will likely have a steep drop off.

We have our main 8 guys... don't overpay for the 9th guy in a market that will be bat **** crazy.

Acy is a 4/5 who can't guard wings and is more of a interior player who will hit some jumpers. To call him a better shooter than Hill is ignorant. Career numbers are the same % wise, but Hill has a lot more attempts (and Hill has shown for stretches he can hit a high % with a high volume, projects to grow as a shooter). Everyone knows Hill is a better shooter. If you told DL that Acy was a better pickup as our 4th wing because he could shoot better he would laugh at you.

On .6 attempts and he has an ugly shot. Not really comparable.

Hill went 19-46 second half
Booker went 6-17 second half

Both samples sizes suck and should not be relied on.

Take away the last game of the year for Hill... a meaningless game against Milwaukee... he went 7-11. Hill shot 12-35 on 34%

You can project him as a 41% shooter if you'd like... whoever signs him will talk themselves into it. It is a mistake.

Alright, if you want to tell yourself Booker is on par as a shooter with Hill, go for it.

Lol we are taking away games now? Last time I checked the Bucks rolled out some pretty ****ing good players that game and they played a close game. Both sides seemed to try and competed. But throw that game out cause it doesnt fit your argument. LOL.

Why would Hill grow as a shooter... they are the same age.

Acy is much more off a big I agree but played SF as well.

do you know what an outlier is? Statisticians "throw out games" all the time. All the ****ing time.

Last night of the year bruh... check the boxscore... that game has as much meaning as a preseason game. Its a statistical outlier... 25% of his post all star attempts came in that game.

What do you thing he will make... come on throw out a number tough guy... Acy will be a better value on whatever he gets than Hill.

I deal with numbers for a living and not in the dozen increments...

Because Hill has shown stretches of very good 3pt shooting. He has shown where his shooting ceiling can be. It's just a matter of improving consistency.

Even the year he started, he started of slowly (adjusting to new role) then shot the ball pretty well from deep post-ASB. The next year his minutes are way down at first, but he gets brought back into a more consistent role and his shooting goes back up. He just has to find his consistency and you have a pretty good 3&D wing. Acy gives you an energy big who will run the floor, dunk, and hit the very occasional jump shot. Not comparable if you are looking at a substitute choice from Hill.

He's not was pointing out sample size

Acy went 14-37 after the AS break, but I guess 46 attempts is waaay more.
