Utah Jazz Summer League Topic

Pleiss will have more value at the trade deadline for matching contracts since his next season is non-guaranteed. Wouldn't mind seeing the Jazz trade Diaw/Pleiss (plus picks) to Sacramento for a rental of Rudy Gay at the deadline. Kings should be out of the running and Jazz should be deep in the playoff picture.

Go into the playoffs with Gobert, Favors, Withey, Lyles, Hayward, Gay, Hood, Burks, JJ, Hill and Exum. Still have Mack, Neto and Jingles as well.
 
If the Jazz really want Bolomboy to play overseas to keep his rights, then why they didn't draft directly Euro-stash players?

Well about the only good stash prospect left when we drafted was Cornelie. Teams already done swooped up the other guys.
 
They tried and tried feeding Pleiss in the post, good position, cleared all defenders.. 1-on-1, Pleiss can barely get it up, and then gets blocked by a typical Summer League big...



Feel bad for the guy, but he just isn't an NBA player by any stretch of the imagination.

And he was drafted ahead of Hassan Whiteside.
 
I always laugh when people get blocked on post fadeaways. Noah Vonleh barely had to try to block that Lyles fade.
 
Does Butterfield play in Europe? Is he a boss over there? I just really like the way he plays. Not athletic, but really fluid, good passer, and a pretty shot.
 
To do this with this terrible summer league team is impressive. Lyles for 6th man... Also, I'd call BKN or anyone not going to hit the floor and see if they'd take Tibor for a second rounder. If not I'd start thinking about cutting him or negotiating a buyout. It's just a waste of a roster spot.

Brooklyn isnt giving up any draft picks lol.
 
But yeah, the more and more useless Tibor shows himself to be, I wouldnt be surprised if he got cut. But at the same time, I would.

No... we give them a second round pick... It reads vaguely, but meant to say we give them one of our many 2017 second rounders to take on the Tiborg.

I think he had a dream to play here... he's worked hard... His game works better in Europe, it's slower and less physical. The money was a factor surely, but I don't think he's just cashin dem checks.
