What's new

Never Trump

If this new map is to be believed, the D does not even need FL to win. Lean Demo already has her elected by 3 EC votes.

https://www.cnn.com/2016/08/19/politics/road-to-270-electoral-college-map-3-august/index.html

NH, VA and PA all went from "Toss Up" to "Lean D". Only NV, FL, NC, OH and IA are "Toss Ups". Slow and steady shift to the D favor.

As a result Trump has once again replaced his campaign manager. He is now on his 3rd manager.

Replaced him with a crazy far-right turd Steve Bannon. This should be very entertaining.

Even Ben ****ing Shapiro criticized the hire for "reinforcing Trump's worst instincts".

Pretty clear JFC forum is not the Flying J TV room.

Ya'll seem pretty isolated to me, tbphwy. Dr. Jones in St. George does see some of the Trump base, but mostly Mo sorts, who are not the real Trump base sort. Trump is getting a lot of blue-collar dems, union folk and other workers who just seem to know you have to own a business to be a "real" Republican. Ya'll can call him a demagogue or whatever, but the fact is, he is sincere, if unpremeditated. Like some sociopaths/schizphrenics, he lives in the "Now". In this he could be the perfect Liberal just as easy as a nationalist/populist folk hero. He does not make a big deal about consistency one moment to the next. He speaks from the heart, while looking into the face of the crowd, and he knows them. They're Americans, and he's an American, and that is what matters.

So, little fussy political purists, you're just otta the loop. A lot of people will vote for Trump because he thinks like the truck driver that brings in the pop, or the milk, with that high-stacled dolly.

Mormons are statists, well-conditioned minions of authority and programs and instruction manuals. Most Americans are not statists. They are people who work for a living, but they go home and think for themselves, and just want to be free.

looks like a little crew of dedicated ideologues here, statists with fantasies of a better world managed to some little dream framed by somebody else's rhetoric.

I think Trump is the best candidate we've had since Reagan.

I find the last part absolutely hysterical.

Actually Fish, I think he's captured the Trump base perfectly. I hear this exact same logic all the time.

I'm still laughing that populism has been calling for a Trumpish candidate for as long as I can remember and now you all hate the shoot from the hip candidate you begged for. Career politicians FTW.

It's not the shoot from the hipness that we hate about him fwiw

I realize. But you telling me you haven't heard for years now the crowd that "just want a politician who speaks his mind instead of scripted b.s."?

I still hear this about Trump from some pretty articulate co-workers who have been around the block a time or two. People are tired of politicians being politicians. Now that we have one who doesn't act like one, many hate him for not being a politician.

Him speaking his mind and not acting like a politician is not why I don't like him.

I think he is a ****ty person.
That's why I don't want him for my president. Nothing to do with the fact that he isn't politically correct.

Imo you can speak your mind and be "different" than the typical politician, and yet still be a decent human being.

Funny thing is dude is now reading from the teleprompter, and doing a terrible job at it too. Keep in mind, the right has often voted against their own self interests in the name of ideology. The results should not be all that surprising.

Lol, I love your lines of attack.

Reagan

Shot from the hip and made a bunch of incorrect statements. I don't think most people saw him as a shrewd calculating politician. He was also optimistic and not a total dick.

You're clearly not in the Trump base babe was talking about or the Trump Guilt base I was talking about. I realize why you despise him and agree with you.

I don't think I agree with you that a politician can be non-PC and not come across as a complete jackass of a person. There's a reason why they have the reputation they do. They're like a mullet in a way: ******** up front, do what they want in the back.

Franklin is in full on troll mode. Ignore him.

It's not surprising but I disagree that it's a right wing phenomenon. There are plenty of blue collar, gun toting, immigrating hating, whiskey drinking democrats that have pushed Trump to the forefront of the republican party.

The cut off your nose to spite your face point was spot on.
