Official NJ Nets Watch

I remember thinking Orlando would win mutliple championships with Shaq and Penny. We all saw how that turned out. If the lottery was fixed, teams such as Toronto, Milwaukee, Washington and the Clippers would not have ended up with the first pick.

Does anyone else think that Avery Johnson sounds like the biggest tool earth has ever known when he speaks?

fixed that for you.

And yes he does sound like the biggest tool the Earth has ever known.

Way to go Washington!
NJ still has 7 very winnable games left on their schedule. Even if they win all 7, the Clippers, Bucks and Bobcats should all reach at least 30 wins. Only team in doubt now is the Pistons. Detroit has a tougher schedule to close out the season. I'll be surprised if they win more than 3 games. I'm still projecting a #7 slot. Then we just hope that Utah jumps up to one of the top-3 picks, or at least no other team below #7 moves up.

Nets blow one of their most winnable games, that helps. Deron will be out a few games, possibly the rest of the season. About a 50/50 shot we hold onto 6.

Toronto pulls off the win in OKC. Not too far behind NJ....

Not gonna happen. NJ has a much easier schedule. In fact, they should catch Detroit AND have an outside shot at the Clippers.

1. New Jersey has 8 very winnable games left (Indiana, @Cleveland, Houston, Minnesota, @Detroit, New York, @Toronto, Charlotte).
2. Toronto: Only 5 games that are reasonably winnable: @Clippers, Bucks, Cavs, Nets, @Bucks.
3. LA Clippers have a brutal schedule to finish, similar to the Jazz. I only see two more games where the Clippers will be favorites to win (vs. Washington and Toronto). Maybe add the last game vs. Memphis if the Grizzlies have already clinched the #8 seed.

Jazz will most likely get the #7 pick, perhaps even #8 if the Nets get hot again.

Hey, Toronto beat OKC tonight and I never woulda classified that game as "winnable."
Also, Jersey lost to the Wizards today and no one woulda classifed that game as "loseable."

so who knows?

You have Nets winning 30 games this season (if they win all 8 "winnable" games). Maybe. Maybe they finish in the 20s.

Looking at the Clips I can see them finishing the season with 29, but I'll hope for a few more wins.
Detroit I can maybe see them finishing with 34 wins.

I would not classify Indiana, ny or Houston as winnable. I mean all games are winnable to point these out somehow implies that they should win. I will bet you they lose to all three.
