Game Thread: Grizz @ Jazz Nov. 14th 2016

On another note, that called 3 for Lyles in the 1st that was later made a two was the absolute worst called 3 I've ever seen in my life. Lyles was a good 3 feet inside the line. And they didn't correct it (at least on the Jazz feed) until like 4 minutes in the 2nd. I really thought they Grizzlies were going to get screwed there.

Only explanation is they let Boler keep the scorecard for a play.

So after this game Quin is going to have Rudy, JJ and Withey (and possibly Bolomboy) pissed at him. And the fans.

[SUB][/SUB]Cy, I know you hate me and want to attack at every post. But sorry, Gordon's just not shown he can get stats when it usually matters. Sure, he's hit an occasional big one (like the Cleveland game last year). But he's 0-2 this season. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect your highest-paid player to step up when he's really needed.

4-13 and 1-7 3pt tonight.

Against Charlotte in crunch time:

5:08 Missed shot
4:07 Turnover
3:45 FG AND1
3:20 2 FT's
2:38 Missed 3PG
2:07 Shooting foul
1:51 Bad Pass TO
1:33 Shooting foul
0:59 Make 2 FT's

OK shooting, but 2 shooting fouls and 2 critical TO's. There's no greatness in Hayward.

No question that Hayward is a work in progress but to say there's no greatness him is pretty harsh. I was amazed at how quickly he came out of the gates after his injury. Without Hayward coming back no way we win four out of five on the road. He was due for a bad night. I agree that he is a bit streaky and hasn't always been the best closer. Despite the fact that he was struggling tonight, due to injuries and the ineffectiveness of Johnson we had no better options. I personally think we win this game with either Hood or Hill playing.

Hayward isnt a guy who can carry below average talent to victories. He is a guy who needs help for his game to work. Lebron is pretty much the only guy who can carry by himself.

Quin is lying or oblivious

That is actually pathetic. Quin is quick to bench his franchise $100 M center, but gives the third string PG they picked up at the deadline a seemingly unlimited leash. Whatever you think of Mack or Gobert, that's just inexplicable.

The Diaw Lyles lineup can't happen ever again. It's like they're allergic to rebounding.

This is the reverse death lineup - can't guard anybody, can't get rebound, couldn't even score in the clutch. But sure... why not pull Gobert out. This is infuriating. You just gave the guy 100M. It's insane to bench him when we need D and rebounding from at least 1 position on the court. Also what kind of BS was that after-game interview with Quin? Who is he lying to? It wasn't Diaw-Lyles that got the game close. We got back in the game at 75-73 with Rudy IN the game. Then went 21-29 in the 4th without him. BS. What kind of journalists are those? They better challenge Quin because he was doing the same **** last year - pulling Gobert out and then wondering why we can't get a D-rebound and why we can't defend. Well... duh. I haven't been this pissed in a while. If Quin can't figure it out on his own, maybe he needs to be given the answer by outsiders(fans, journalists).

Is it really a journalists place to be giving the coach answers?

Even with those members of our crew missing, the Jazz were still competitive. THAT was good to see.

No, but it's their job to keep coaches in check. As in not let them lie to the fans. And if he's not lying but genuinely mistaken(as in didn't know that actually Gobert had +10 in a game we lost by 6) it's their job to bring it to his attention that what he's saying is actually not true.

The games tipping point was when it was tied with a few minutes left. Then we couldnt hit anything. On the defensive side they kept getting second chances inside, and then hit a few big 3's. Sickening loss because we would have won with Hill, Hood, and Favors 100%.

So damn frustrating! Hood gets sick! Hills thumb wont ****ing heal! Favors limping around. It's enough to make a Jazz fan insane.

Is it being a jazz fan that makes one insane? Or being insane that makes one a jazz fan?
