Lyles is our #1 long-term option to replace Favors. Dal dumb for questioning otherwise.

Your 1-8 comments is exactly how I saw it.

Is there anyone on this list who is affordable and you would want to play over Trey Lyles? My answer is no.

The only person I'd consider outside of Lyles is Millsap if he is in the "I'm coming back to the place that started my career on a discount so I can contend for a ring" mode. He is a free agent in 2018.

Taj Gibson and Zach Randolph are the only other names that may make some sense imo, but they'd have to be on the right deals of course.

If we traded Favs I assume we'd get some sort of replacement in the deal. I just thing there are ways to work around having a true PF... I'd love to see what Wilson Chandler looks like in our starting lineup.

With the new extension rule we could probably keep the whole crew together this year... sign Favs to an extension... ride out the next year... then trade an extended Favors that may have more value. Or move on... it was just the part of the article that I thought got overlooked.

I highly doubt Randolph leaves Memphis. Unless we want to way overpay, which makes no sense because this whole discussion is about getting someone cheap because we cant afford the great PF we already have.

Gibson cant shoot either. The Jazz are going to want their 4 to have some sort of stretch capability.

We have Lyles people.

We have Trey Lyles.

Now there's a good option. Maybe he'll get low-balled on contracts again
