Boston's problem is similar to the Jazz right now--they cant rebound. Jazz will get better when Rudy returns, even if that is next season. Boston is stuck with Horford and crew for a while.
It was mentioned earlier in this thread, but no one is challenging BJ.
He is picking his moments when to leave his man and influence the play.
But there is not much dribble penetration designed to challenge him at the rim.
A lot of the penetration is shallow and designed to get open looks for JJ and Hayward.
I get that penetrating might be suicide. But it felt too easy for BJ today.
I didnt get to watch the 2nd half. Why the hell is Quin refusing to play Exum and even Lyles? Favors can go play 33 minutes with crappy D and only 7 rebounds. Lyles is that bad?
Last night was THE best time to play Exum. We already stole game 1. Even if we lose game 2, we have homecourt. So when we come out as flat as we did, why not give Exum a shot? Plain stupid in my opinion.

Who is this BJ you speak of :.. and are you deliberately saying penetration and BJ .... rude .....
The Clippers threesome of (Jordan,Griffin,Paul) finished 29/47 for 63 pts while Jazz (Hayward,Favors,Hill) finished 15/34 for 45 pts.As game 3 comes around the teams are getting to know each other real well.I'd prefer that the Clippers big 3 didn't excel in their win .Jazz need to slow one of these guys down.
For the Jazz ,my biggest fear is they can't score enough points even when they had Gobert. The veteran presence of JJ,Diaw,Hill and Ingles keeps the Jazz games close but they don't score enough to create big worries for the Clippers defense to fear. Toss in only 15 assists to 13 turnovers for the Jazz and the Jazz offense is being squeezed tighter.Jazz need some spark on offense.

I just find it extremely disappointing. Some guys are relative nonfactors in the season yet create a very strong presence in the postseason. Guys like Austin Croshere, Dellavadova, and even Robert Horry to a certain extent and many more marginal season guys excel in the postseason. Playoff basketball is different than season ball in so many ways.A little stubborn and inflexible too.
I hope X agent calls Q's (maybe DL) bluff here. Asks for an extension on the basis the Jazz want him long term. If they won't offer something pretty measly - say 4/40 mill, then X has his answer about Q's long term plans.
X should find out their plans - start putting feelers out for potential suitors who will commit to him being a pg.
Thought we did good, all things considered. Aside from their scorching hot start, it was a pretty even game, despite them exploiting the **** out of Gobert's absence. The Jazz played a little content, but they played hard and executed throughout the game.
With Gobert, I think the series is a done deal. It is doable without him. But it'll be tough.

With all we have hanging in the balance (Hill, Hayward contracts and Burks, Favors futures), why wouldnt we play AB, Lyles and Exum? Last night was a night perfect for testing out guys with zero playoff experience. For all we know, Lyles might have hit that extra gear he hit with Kentucky in that March Madness run. Or Exum emerges as an extremely valuable piece to our puzzle.

Played pretty good defense too.For those who haven't been watching basketball this year, Burks offense and individual iso's have become consistently predictable, wild turnover or missed shot followed by Burks falling to the floor while a fast break gives 2 points to the other team. He's near the worst in the NBA on isolations and finishing at the rim. The only good thing he's done this year is rebound the hell out of it.
