What's new

Following potential 2017 draftees...

So John Collins measured okay and shot the ball okay. Maybe he's not a plus defender, but he should be okay.

The thing that is working best for him is his age. He just reminds me a lot of Kanter. At least he has better feet so he won't get exposed as easily, but he is an equally lazy defender from a mental standpoint.

There is obviously a correlation between height and standing reach, causation even, but it's a general correlation and not an exact (mathematically specific and predictable) correlation.

So it's just a strong relationship.. It's no direct correlation.. Things are on a case-by-case basis, there will ALWAYS BE OUTLIERS..

Holy ****. Really? There are outliers in a data set? Insane. Breakthrough revelation you had there.

You hold a theory near and dear to your heart. I await examples, or a string of examples. You have no hard evidence of your claims, let alone can you apply them to real time examples. You're a fraud upholding fallacies for personal pleasure.

My reaction when PGAB tries to do anything besides regurgitate other people's opinions on HS basketball players.

I gave you an entire research paper. You choose not to read it probably because it would explode your tiny brain.

You used to argue with me FOR Trey Burke, when I said he was no good. you actually had a similar reaction to that gif when I used to say Burke wasn't worthy of a 90 grade.

and you used to try and lambaste Dennis Schroder to make your point. You've shown your hand far too many times. It's all about you.

Me - My interest is in the game, not just some territorial ********. I like the stories. You are clearly all about yourself.

In here trying to make claims, like Mr know it all.. you pop off because you've got combine measurements and 5-5's to look at. When I've been here watching the **** from groundlevel the entire time.

Frank Jackson is all of a sudden now worthy of the 24th pick because of what he did today at the combine. You're so behind me it's a joke.

Of course I'm right. you can't even demonstrate ANY of what you've claimed. or cited..

AS BTP correctly called you out on it's unclean.

Unclean isnt even a term used to describe correlation. I have no idea what you are trying to make up.

I never had any opinion on Trey Burke and Dennis Schroeder is garbage. He did a great job winning 0 playoff series this year, like he will do every year. He is classic first round fodder.

I see what you're saying. However, there can exist a statistical correlation between two events, despite the fact that there are a significant number of exceptions. It would be like saying a taller person is 85% more likely to have a higher standing reach than a shorter person. It's not a perfect correlation (with no exceptions), but you can argue that there is still a correlation.

I think you both understand what the other is saying, you're just disagreeing on the definition of the term 'correlation.'
