Following potential 2017 draftees...

My worst fear would be Terrance Ferguson and Ivan Rabb I think. Lydon would be a pretty poor result too. Bam I would be indifferent to unless they picked him over someone else that was available who I liked a lot.

Don't understand the hate for Ferguson? Of all the guys in the jazz's range I feel he has the highest ceiling. He can shoot and has NBA good to elite athleticism. I feel he's at least Gerald Green for his floor. Green has carved out a solid career, or he could be as high as Thompson without the defense. Can u ask for much more in the jazz range?

- He's a high volume three point shot taker but not maker. Nearly half of his fg attempts with Adelaide were from three, shooting only 31.3%. In FIBA Junior Team Events (U19 world championships, U17 world championships, U16 americas championships) he averaged 6.3 fga per game and 3.8 were from three where he shot only 33.3%. He's reliant on the three and he doesn't hit it enough.

- His overall fg% is poor as well. 40% in FIBA Junior Team events. 38.1% at Adelaide.

- He doesn't get to the free throw line. 1.3 free throw attempts per game in FIBA. 0.7 free throw attempts per game with Adelaide (only 1.8 per 40).

- He's not a playmaker at all. He averaged more turnovers than assists in both FIBA play (1.6 TOPG/1.5 APG) and with Adelaide (1.0 TOPG/0.6 APG)

- He's super skinny at 186 pounds with average arm length (6'8 3/4)

- He's a good athlete but certainly not elite given his combine numbers

He's flashy. He might be in some dunk contests in his career judging off of his mixtapes. But I don't see the substance in his game. I see him as a complete developmental prospect who will probably need two to three years at minimum in the dleague. And because he's so reliant on the three his ceiling is probably as a 3 and D type role player when he finally develops. I just wouldn't use a first round pick on him. I see him a second rounder you throw a hail mary on and see if you get lucky.

Luke Kennard coming in at 11 is the biggest eye-opener of the new DX mock. I love him though and that confirms there is zero chance we get him.

They are always the most accurate every year.

It's the final mock that's being measured against other final mock drafts. We're still 3 weeks away from that. DX collaborating with yahoo/vertical/woj probably helps them get some last minute scoops. My guess those leaks kinda look like: Indiana is picking 18th - Someone with access to the war room is leaking who they got 16th to 20th at the time or they leak an older or a fake list depending on what the circumstances are. That way they got a pretty good idea who's popular where.

I'M just happy I got next week off and have some time to watch the NBA finals and catch up on pre draft stuff.
