I like Justin Patton, I just think there's no more than a 3% chance he's on the board when the Jazz draft. Plus, he's really a center. I don't think you can or should play him at the 4.
**** it. I want Justin Patton at 24. I think he can play the 4 and become a stretch 4, given his 3% last year (on 0.4 attempts but still) and background--he was 6'1" as a HS frosh and a guard.
Worst case, we will get 15 great minutes behind Gobert. But I really think he can play the 4 too. Dude is quick and very athletic and bouncy. I love the idea of having a twin towers ala Sampson and Akeem. Minus the career ending injury of course.
Our defense could be sick and this could be our counter-punch to Dubs small ball. Throw insane length out there to defend them and more importantly, on the offensive end, kill them inside to get their thin frontline into foul trouble. Patton's FT% is a concern but he has good form and shot well on minimal attempts from 3 and def can get to 70% I think. Maybe 75%.
Oh, **** out of here. You can't be that stupid.
If Justin Patton could defend KD he would be a top 5 pick in this draft.
How about no?
I wasn't aware the capabilities of these players were all foregone conclusions.
Justin Patton got double digit rebounds 3 times all year, against small ****ty schools and never got more than 11 rebounds.
He won't be there at 24 but if he is it's a no-brainer.

Why won't he be there? What's with this huge overrating of Justin Patton?
Not saying he won't go before 24, but it's far from a foregone conclusion.
And Kuzma sucked from long distance.

I just don't think he's going to be there at 24. Is that okay with you?

IDK, just curious as to who you think is going to take him. Dont be such a defensive little bitch.
Leaf has worked out for teams picking as high as #13 (Nuggets). He's in play pretty much anywhere outside the lottery. Doesn't mean that he's my choice, but it's reasonable to expect him to be taken a few picks before the Jazz draft.
I would take Leaf at 24.
Like him.
