If Kanter is that good, I highly doubt that the Timberwolves will pass on him at #2. Especially beings that this will be Minnesota's highest draft pick EVER. They also have a need at Center while not really having one at Point Guard or at Small Forward. If the Timberwolves want to build their team, they need to take top prospects that fill positions of need. This is how Oklahoma City built their team and they are now in the conference finals. The Timberwolves already have Michael Beasley at SF and Kevin Love at PF. They drafted Wesley Johnson with the #4 overall pick last season to be their starting shooting guard. They also have Martell Webster, Lazard Hayward, Wayne Ellington, and Anthony Randolph battling for backup positions at the 2, 3, and 4 positions. Their primary need is at center, where all they have is Darko Milicic and Nikola Pekovic. Their secondary need is as point guard, even though they just drafted Johnny Flynn in last year's draft and Ricky Rubio in the 2009 draft. Unless they are planning some major wheeling and dealing, drafting another Small Forward/Power Forward would NOT be a smart move.
