Game Tread for game nr. 14 vs Timberwolves, Monday, November 13th, 7pm.

Ricky's career free throw rate is .450 (.384 this season); Dante's career free throw rate is

The turnover rate of the two is similar, but Ricky's assist rate is 2.5x as high as Dante's.

This has a lot to do with Rubio practically never shooting or going for layups. He averages under 9 shot attempts per game, so when he gets .450 FT rate, it doesn't really tell you about him being aggressive or stressing the D. .450 is great if he has regular usage, but when you have 8 FGA per game, it means you are shooting 3.5 FTAs per game. In the case of Rubio it seems more like he goes for it when he's pressured and has nowhere to go, I will have to study his game more to see how that happens because it's unusual for his small level of usage to have this high of FT rate(maybe it's simply due to the fact that the ball is in his hands a lot and there are more opportunities for him to get fouled).

Rubio is actually pretty good at finding contact on drives and drawing fouls because he has really unique and varied ways at getting his shot off.

The problem is he has no floater. The whole layup thing is a lost cause IMO. I just don't think he is going to be good at them, but he should be good at floaters.
