2011 draft.....

Knight is taller, bigger, and younger.

17 pts, 4 rebs, 4 assists, 3.2 to, 1.33 as/to, 0.7 stl, 42% fg, 37% 3pt, 80% ft, 1.28 pps
17 pts, 3 rebs, 4 assists, 2.5 to, 1.74 as/to, 1.5 stl, 53% fg, 46% 3pt, 90% ft, 1.85 pps

Other than shooting percentages, they are essentially the same player. I wonder what Irving's shooting percentages would be if he played a whole season (for example, the ACC schedule instead of a weaker OOC schedule). I don't know. I am not as sold on Irving as everyone else.

According to stats, he isn't a better playmaker, passer, ball handler. All Irving has is a better shooter. And Irving put his amazing stats against much, much weaker competition. If I am Cleveland, I definitely take Williams #1 and Knight #4.

Why is Irving so much better than Knight?

See if you had actually seen them play, you would realize this is a stupid question. You can't go just by stats. I mean, Irving got to the line at will against a team like Michigan State which is known for their tough defense. Irving shut down a senior guard in Jacob Pullen (Kansas State) who was known for his offense.

Irving has better speed, better control of his body, and apparently is about the same height as Knight with a slightly smaller wingspan. Look at the tapes, Irving is a better player. I'm not saying Knight is bad, because he isn't.....but Irving is much better.

And to add to the thoughts above, Andre Miller with a jump shot would have been one hell of a player and not too many people would've passed on him.

It seems like Kanter can play Center for us.
I was worried about him being too short, but 6'11 in shoes is tall enough right?

We replace Memo with Kanter.

Big Al/Sap are the 4s. Favors and Kanter the 5s. DAMN! What a nice group of bigs.

Draft Singleton to replace AK....I'm loving the roster next year. Loving it.

Kanter and Singleton. Get it done KOC

Wow, Kanter really doesn't want to play for the Jazz. He blew off an interview with the Jazz today at the combine according to Andy Katz.

Kanter's standing reach is 9'1.5" compared to Jefferson's and Favors' 9'2". I wonder if the people who think Kanter can play center are the same people who think Favors and Jefferson to be undersized at 5...

It's probably just that his agent doesn't think he is a good fit here and that he won't be able to get minutes easily. His agent is smart.

The problem is that he is being incredibly presumptuous. There are a lot of things that could happen between now and the season (if we have one). Burning a bridge is probably not a very shrewd move. In fact, I think this makes him look bad from a character perspective if you blow off interviews.

It's good to find this out now though. The more I watch him the more I think Koufos 2.0 anyway.

Bad move? The guy clearly wants to go to Washington. I'm sure Washington would love to have him at 6. They would probably love it if he blew everyone off and told them to S his D. He is a perfect fit for Washington if he turns out to be as everyone thinks.

Funny stuff. Take a tweet and run with it ... wait another day for new news .. this is FAAAAAAR from over.
A looong time until draft day.

So Kanter and his agent are going to suddenly want to play for Utah? What is going to change in their head?

I'm not saying he will suddenly want to play for Utah (who would? jk). I was merely making a statement that there's always more to the story .. or the tweet. He could be sick, he could have already had other meetings scheduled, whatever. Again, my comment really had nothing to do with Kanter, per se. Just the hanging on every news story, tweet, dissecting every word, etc. It's fun, part of being a fan ... I just think we can't take anything too seriously.
