Maybe the plan with Bradley is to have him as the eventual replacement for Gobert. The first three years we groom him, the next 3 years Bradley starts sharing time with Gobert then in 6 years he becomes the franchise center with Gobert being the defensive specialist.
Bradley is really fast up and down the court. Not a plodder at all. He just can't jump high.I don't think they move the same at all. Bradley is okay laterally, but still looks like a plodder. When LA came in he was skinny.
I've never been convinced by his shot either. I think Bradley will be a center only and won't go back and forth between PF/C.
If he becomes a slower LA then that is great... I just don't see it. Would love for him to get some run with the varsity team the last half of the year though.

Some people talk about DL's love for the guy. I haven't seen that. I'm just trying to rationalize the pick of a freshman center....

He picked him because the numbers say he is an absolute steal at the end of the first round.
Nothing more, nothing less. The numbers said he would be a top 10 pick in 2018 if he goes back to school.
So, if you’re DL, you pick him swinging for the fences. If he blows up, you can keep him and move Gobert or trade him. He’s an asset.

Beal's gf tweeted this. Wonder what we would have to give up to get Gortat and a 1st.
Favors... I say do it.
I feel like it would take more than that. Or at least heavy protections on their first rounder. I think that team is close to having a meltdown.
I’d take any pick from them in a Favors/Gortat swap and then I’d parlay that and JJ into Mirotic.I’d do lotto protected... they get an upgrade from Favs to Gortat and save 13M next year. Could re-sign Favs for less than that imo.
Would give them a shakeup. I’m not giving much more than that.
Yeah, the Brooklyn pick is coming back or there is nothing to talk about with TT.That’s all we get for swallowing hard on TT? No thanks.
This is horrific! This is fireable offense the day it happens. WTF? We just added 13M of useless salaries for the 2018-2019 year and 26M of useless salaries for 2019-2020 while giving up Favors.Dunc'd On did another Jazz trade today
Utah in: Tristan Thompson, Kyle Korver, 2018 Cleveland 1st round pick
Utah out: Derrick Favors, Alec Burks
Also had discussions with Philly about Jerryd Bayless. The person representing Philly said they would do Favors for Bayless and either Luwawu-Cabarrot or Anzejs Pasecniks or Justin Anderson, but they were kind of iffy about that. Bucks would be interested, but their 1st rounder is too valuable and matching salaries would be tough.
They weren't really enthusiastic about any of these and they implied that there wouldn't be a huge market for Favors.
