Return of the Mack: Magic @ Jazz 3/5/2018 7:00 pm MST

As to the point that this .is Goberts team...who was the only jazz player willing to go after quin during his meltdown and followed him to the tunnel?

I feared for his life, but Spida took care of coach when no one else could.

You can put that label on Mitchell sure. Leader is different from best/most influential player.

I think Quin was pissed about the Jazz getting called for a couple phantom offensive calls. When Orlando clearly committed one that was a no call, quin got pissed and the ref ignored him.

Won't be surprised if that ref is never seen again.

You know the officiating crew had a bad night when the skirt was the best out of the three of them.

Crowder is exceeding expectations?

I mean, I like the guy and he seems to make winning plays, but he is hurting the offense with his efficiency. He is doing worse statistically than he did in Cleveland. Over the last 5 games he is shooting 31% from the field and 28% from 3. He is definitely someone the Jazz need to improve in that area if they want to beat playoff teams.

Give Jae time he is still adjusting he will get it, don't worry.

Jae's shooting 12 shots per game which is out of his comfort zone. He's more a 7 to 9 FGA per game guy given the minutes he's getting.

O'Neale, Neto and Jonas are not high volume shooters. Burks has a golden opportunity (and perhaps his last gasp) to show that he's not damaged goods and he's put up numbers in the last 30+ games that Jae has put up in 5.

The easiest thing to do when you are not sure what to do is shoot. Making reads and such is hard. Jae is fine.

AB is really bad right now though.

Yeah, I don't disagree - once Jae settles in though I think you'll see him take better shots and perhaps a couple less per game.

Burks charging into a defensive wall at the free-throw line has become his signature move. I don't know what it will take to convince AB to stop playing stupid.

Sometimes I wonder if something in his life is out of balance, because he looks healthy, but, he looks like a shell of his former self, but that play left me speechless.

Rudy is our most important player right now, obviously.

The future of the team is Mitchell being an offensive beast, and Gobert being a defensive beast. Both can also still improve on the other sides of the court, Rudy especially could average an efficient 17-20 PPG.

His shooting percentages are only part of the story. He is not hurting our offense.

When he is on the court with Rubio(+16), Mitchell(+14.5) or Gobert(+17.8) we play very well. The sample size is only about 170 minutes each but that is still trending great. Crowder, Gobert and Mitchell playing is +18.5. When he plays PF with Rubio, Mitchell, Ingles and Gobert we are +29 in a decent amount of minutes already.

Crowder compliments our main players very well. He plays hard and people play hard around him. He plays hard defense, gets to the line a lot, he pumps up the home crowd and teammates. Plus he is still figuring out our system. He has exceeded expectations for me this early. He just needs to find some rhythm from 3, that is the only main thing we are missing from him. But most of his shots are within the system.

The majority of his 3s are when he is wide open with no defender around, 26% frequency. He is hitting those at 36%.

Ditto. He has room to improve, but even if he stayed about where he is he's still solid off the bench. Exceeded my expectations so far, too.

Imo he needs to play the 4 almost exclusively. As a wing I think he feels the need to create more and do more offensively.
Only bad thing about playing him more at the 4 is jerebko would play less and he has been playing great since the all star break.
