Need to at least get 7th seed.

Steve Kerr says there is no way Stephen Curry plays in the first round of the playoffs.
Nothing would make me happier to see the warriors lose in the first round. I wonder what team would be the best to pull off an upset against them in the first round now? Our Jazz?

After the Spurs loss the Jazz bumped up to 85% odds to make the playoffs.

After the Clippers win they dropped back down to 82%.

Here's how 538 sees the rest of our schedule:

Celtics - 74% chance we win
Grizzlies - 95% chance we win
@Timberwolves - 45% chance we win
Lakers - 82% chance we win
Clippers - 76% chance we win
@Lakers - 56% chance we win
Warriors - 68% chance we win
@Blazers - 32% chance we win

So according to those odds, we should go 6-2. I'd be cool with that.

Houston will have everything wrapped up with five games, worst case. As it stands right now, the last relevant game for Houston is @ San Antonio. It could be sooner if the Raptors and Warriors drop a game between now and the Houston @ San Antonio game. Houston isn't going to lose before then, they have two games against tankers.

Portland is too out of reach at this point, so Houston will likely be resting their starters in that game which in turn would help us if Portland locks up the #3 seed by the final game.

But there's a Houston v. OKC game that OKC is now likely to win.

Jazz have a winning record with eight games left. Run the table, and they’ll finish with 50 wins. Not likely, but they’ve won twice before that they’re capable of a long win streak - even on the road. One game at a time.

Someone with better photoshop skills than I have should do an image of Donovan and Rudy together with the caption - “Trust the process - break the mold”.

I’d love something like that for my screen saver.

Lakers games are going to be tricky, but we caught a huge break with the Golden State situation. Those are wins we weren't projected to get. Put us back into the 90% playoff odds at fivethirtyeight.

Denver is playing Phili and the Raptors monday and Tuesday. They have to win at least one of them to stay in it. If they lost both we could be feeling pretty good. Can't trust the east to do that though. Let's just hope the east wins one (likewise, if Denver somehow won both--that would be scary.)

Got to beat Boston. Not an easy game by any means, but with Kyrie out we have to take advantage.

Looking at the schedule, the Jazz really are in the drivers seat. Denver has a brutal schedule. Denver and the Clippers play each other. And then we play the Clippers. Would be sweet to put the final bullet in the Vampire Clippers.

Next sunday's game against Minnesota is going to be huge, I feel like.

If we win 5 of the final 8, I think we're in for sure. Feel like we could go 7-1 and get a higher seed. Don't know, but that Spurs game has me feeling pretty confident in this team. Even though we lost that game, I think this team just has something special. Something a Jazz team hasn't had in a long time. We have a lot of holes and weaknesses, we are being led by a Rookie and so naturally are going to be inconsistent, but this team has a ton of heart, and just has some really good players who aren't afraid of the moment. They also have a chip on their shoulder. We are playing with something to prove.

Most fun season in years. And such a bright future no matter what happens. Next year is going to be lit.
