Following Potential 2018 Draftees

@Dr. Jones This Kira Lewis kid looks truly awesome. I'm a HUGE fan/believer in his talents. I just recently went thru his footage and it's undeniably dazzling. He's NBA starting PG quick, easily. Looks like a lotto pick to me. How was he so underrated? Lol

I saw Nfaly dante play 2 summers ago when he was 6'7. He's scary good already, looks like Serge Ibaka already its rediculous, he's a lock for the top5. UK must get these kids.

A Lewis / Maxey backcourt would be a buzzsaw just chewing thru defenses... That'd be one of Cals best guard pairings tbh....
agree with all that

So Bleacher Report’s mock had us taking some Michigan dude i’ve never heard of with KBD still on the board (taken next pick). I know we don’t know DL’s mind, but that’s not happening right?

Probably Mo Wagner. No, I don't see that happening.

Lol I wish someone here would engage me in convo bout my years of spot on predictions on Hayward, especially Cy, he's too busy riding his high horse to face that music tho... I won that argument in landslide, nearly flawless, fashion, If u really look too I swore up and down the Jazz were gonna be a playoff team if hayward and hill walked, which is how it played out exactly..

No one here used the word replaceable in reference to Hayward nearly as much as me, way more ppl *cough* suckers *cough* were in the stockholm syndrome boat and thougt it was prudent to max and appease him.

Now that the dust is long settled Hayward performed well for this franchise on the court -- he didnt nearly perform as well as an asset though, he was more like a high priced whore than a true franchise talent who strengthened the cause. He'd have served this team much better being trade bait at the draft or deadline, he'd also have served this team better if he let the organisation know his true intentions instead of stringing them along. The FO deserves some blame for this too, they failed at sniffing out a deserter til it was too late.

Y'all treated Hayward like he was the young wolf and king of the north, Robb Stark.. We'd have been much better off appliing some Tywin Lannister style logic, the house (The franchise)/sigil is the top priority always, exceptions can be made - but not for Hayward, he was never powerful enough to qualify.

As i predicted many years back Jason Tatum's gonna be better than him for sure.

What'd I say about video game players being inherently greedy and conditioned to finding the path of least resistance? Saw the **** coming a mile(several years) away.

I said before the 2016 trade deadline that we should trade Hayward. Then I said it again before the 2016 NBA draft. I got roasted for the opinion. I've moved on though. I like the team we have now.

Is Keita Bates Diop a slightly longer, slightly thinner Stanley Johnson?

IIRC, Jazz loved Stanley, but he has underperformed in the NBA.

We had a lot going for us and had a good shot to keep him. Not sure what we could have received. Who knows what would have happened... because of butterfly effect we wouldn’t have the same pieces... but in a vacuum having Tauren Prince and whatever Hayward got us in a trade would be great.

I wouldn’t change anything though... all the guys here grew through his exodus and if we keep Hayward and DM isn’t DM then that sucks.

One thing that needs to stop doe... Hayward is really damn good and if we had him and this version of DM and the other guys... we’d be right there with the Rockets and Warriors.

KBD can shoot... Stanley is a brick house... KBD has motor issues and is long... Stanley is not long and plays pretty hard most of the time... not comparable at all.

I don’t have a good comp for KBD (that could be bad). Maybe a better shooting worse defending Aminu is the closest thing.

KBD reminds me of a smaller, less good shooting Channing Frye. And Frye only works in the nba because of his shooting. It doesn't look good for KBD IMO.

Kbd doesnt have motor issues. One person said it, he's an idiot or blowing smoke, now it's a real thing. Gotta love the internet.

Yeah... I don't watch enough to know. If he doesn't the only real issue I have is he moves awkwardly... not an issue as long as it is all healthy and not symptomatic of other issues. Myles Turner had a more extreme version of that and corrected it. He might be slow footed as a 3, but I think he's a 4 who can switch onto wings as needed... so not a big issue.

Yeah, trust me, he doesn't. I watched him 20+ times this year. He plays hard.

Also think of it this way so you don't have to take my word for it. He's a 3 averaging 20 and 9 in the big ten. If you have motor issues you don't produce like that.

I still like KBD, Frazier, and Okogie. Not sure if in that order.
I watch Frazier highlights daily. Dude has some insane plays. I worry about his shot and weight, but he is definitely the prospect I would be most excited about drafting at 21. He is older (going to turn 22 at the end of August) but it feels like he has a lot of upside.

Hell no. Dude played like garbage in the combine. 2nd rounder.

I'm not a fan and that is one of the reasons, but the combine is glorified pickup ball... maybe not even glorified pickup ball because everyone is out there to showcase themselves.

I'm fine trusting you... I think guys can put up numbers and relax on defense a little. Happens frequently and can be corrected... was merely reproducing the garbage I've heard.

His combine times suggest he’s not slow footed. His shuttle was a little slow imo but his other two timed runs were above average speed wise.

A couple of years of P3 and professional training and he could refine his athleticism too.

I think Shake will shake out in the 30s or 40s of this draft. Don't really see him in our range. The lack of burst and ability to change speeds is stopping him from being more than a role player right now. It's a bit disappointing, but I don't think he's a priority for us. There are too many other guards and wings who can do more.
