What's new

Following Potential Draftees - 2019 (not kidding)

What’s everyone’s take on Ty Jerome? I am really intrigued. I get his upside is limited, but I could also see him being a 10-year starter. His weaknesses and strengths seem to match our team’s for a prospective PG.

I really like Windler and feel he’d maybe go 10 spots higher if he wasn’t white.

Maybe only his age is dragging now his draft positioning though.
I don’t know about the white thing, but I love Windler. His shot is real. Looks great, shoots from deep, and puts up a TON of shots as a player that carried a massive burden. Size is solid, love the effort and rebounding.

Still think we should trade down for Philly’s two high second rounders in this crapshoot of a draft.

Dont see it

Jazz Roster as is:
1. Gobert
2. Mitchell
3. Ingles
4. O'Neale
5. Neto
6. Korver
7. Crowder
8. Allen
9. Niang
10. Bradley
11. Exum
12. Favors
13. 1st round pick
14.
15.

So currently we only have two open roster spots. At least one of those spots will be used on a veteran free agent. Favors may be waived, but a free agent will replace him, not a rookie. It seems like pretty safe odds that the Jazz will sign two veteran free agents, leaving maximum one open roster spot.

The Jazz probably give that spot to an undrafted player from year's past (Royce/Ingles) or they sign another free agent. Maybe the Jazz hold onto their 2nd pick and make it a Bolomboy vs O'Neale training camp competition.

But I'm pretty positive the Jazz won't be trading down for multiple picks.

The Jazz need added athleticism through the draft more than anything else, so I'd say no.

I could see the Jazz doing this. I think Terrance Davis is high on the Jazz board. He reminds me of a Donovan Lite
Yes, the guy who is widely being lauded for sky rocketing up draft boards is the guy you want to trade down for. Because his stock isn't rising or anything....

You take him at 23. It'd be a fantastic pick.

I think that he was better in college than he will be in the pros. I think that he's a backup/3rd string PG in the pros. Relatively safe floor and low ceiling. I like Neto more so I don't really have any interest.

Do any of you guys have a prospect that is completely polarizing to you? Where you love certain aspects of their game but absolutely hate other aspects? And you are unsure whether to like or dislike? For me that guy is Romeo Langford.
Honestly, i think most fans and even nba teams feel the same way about him. Id be scared *****ess to take him top 15. Not a great athlete, he can't shoot with range (at this point) and I've never loved his body language out there.

But there is also something about him that makes me think he has a chance to be pretty special. He has a knack for scoring off the bounce, especially near the hoop. Decent defender, has an nba body and has good length for a 2. Apparently very coachable, soaks it all in.

But i can see complete bust, out of the league in 5 years or i can see all-star in 5 years.

Very much a polarizing prospect.

I am a huge fan and think he will have a good career. He might not be an all star but with work he has the potential to be a decent starter in the league.

the idea of drafting Langford makes my stomach hurt and hives break out on my butt

Kevin Porter Jr. The talent is obviously there, as is the defensive upside. Can create his own shot, shows flashes of good passing, and looks like he can be a good defender. On the other side, you can see him being a chucker who doesn't try on defense. That shot is some wonky Lonzo-esque type of release. He got suspended from his team. Missed a lot of time with a thigh contusion. He didn't really score all THAT much despite being labeled a bucketgetter. His interviews are really weird. Compares himself to Curry, Harden, PG, and said he wants to win DPOY his rookie year.

lmao, Romeo is a sad boy. I was watching the LaMelo Ball Drew League video and the camera has a couple of cuts to Romeo sitting in the stands looking emo as ****.

I like him tho. He played the entire year with a thumb that needed surgery.
