What's new

Jeff Green has been waived

Fans have been restless. Can’t speak for anyone else but this is my least favorite team since the Corbin years. And the Corbin years were awful. Last year’s team as least felt like a team. This year, it’s a bunch of parts that don’t fit. There’s been a lot of bad basketball played. And who wants to spend their free time on something so painful to watch?

The schedule has gotten easier and they seem to be putting it together. But honestly, I don’t see us going anywhere in the playoffs. Feels like we’re pretenders not contenders. Just too many holes that will get exploited by opposing teams.

Dudes/Dudettes... is this real life?

It feels weird to waive a guy who played almost 20 minutes a game. But Green wasn't getting it done on offense so I'm OK with it.

You'd think someone would have given us a 2nd for Green but I guess not!

huh? I’m a fan and don’t miss exum. Weird post.

I think you might want to read Find out what we were actually talking about before commenting further.

I meant to say a fan of the Clarkson deal, I put the exum part in as a joke. Do you not like Clarkson ?
Sorry about the confusion

As I said before, you need to read back a few posts to know what’s going on. You clearly have no idea what this exchange was about yet seem intent to inject yourself into it.

From what I read on real gm , a tweet from tony jones suggests the jazz want Brantley on the floor now , and are also happy with Niang and want more minutes for him ..

nothing against Green , but he didn’t offer us much ... the lack of rebounding from him made him redundant
Couldn't they have done both of those things already while green is on the team?

I’m pretty sure this was mutual. Green lives in Miami. His wife is there and has been there like a week. They released him in the city he lives? At the end of a road trip so he wouldn’t have to fly back to SLC to play a game the day after Christmas? Pretty convenient to be a coincidence. He may not have been happy with his role and the Jazz probably weren’t all that happy with his play. Very much would guess it was mutual.
Good info. Great post. Makes sense

It's a forum so that stuff happens, sorry to have made this error. Hope you have a Merry Christmas man

You'd never hear that being said about guys like Kobe.
You mean the Kobe that played with guys like Shaq and gasol?

Apple to oranges dude.

Also, this is the era of load management.

A thought: the Jazz can trade Clarkson again before the trade deadline if they want in a one-for-one deal. But because Clarkson makes $13.4M, not $9.6M, the Jazz could acquire up to $18.4M in a trade this Jan/Feb. If he works, keep him, if not, move again for another piece?
