Following potential 2012 draftees

I'm always a homer for shooting. I think it should be priority #1 for the Jazz's wings (which is why I'm not that high on K-G).

Sorry if this has been discussed on this thread. Not a big college basketball fan, and I don't want to look through 45 pages.

I watched Marshall pg for UNC play a few times late last season seems like a good passer and facilitater of their offense.

For those of you who watch a lot of College ball, would Marshall be a good pickup in the draft for ut?

I'd say if it's pick 15 or worse than Marshall would be a great pick. Thing is, unless GS catches fire this year, there's no way we'd have a pick that high.

I don't know. I don't know how a guy with his simply poor ability in regards to everything except passing can get on the floor. He's a nice backup, maybe. I believe all perimeter players need to learn to shoot, but if you can't beat your man, can't finish, can't rebound, and can't defend... how the hell can you be expected to help your team? Kendall Marshall looks like a taller late-career Brevin Knight but not as good defensively.

If he can't learn to make the defense respect him in some way, he's not going to do anything in the NBA. Frankly, the only chance of that is that he learn to become an exceptional jumpshooter, which he is not even close to right now.

Marshall is actually considered to be a pretty good defender.

So kind of a Rondo, xtra-lite?

Not a terrible way of putting it. While Rondo has exceptional speed, length, and defensive ability, he's a bit of a punk bitch with looks to match.

Having 3+ HOF-ers in the NBA is about the relative luxury Marshall has at UNC. Another reason to be skeptical.

How do you explain the monumental leap UNC took once it inserted Marshall into the lineup? He simply makes players better around him.
