Feeling Better About This Team

Forrest played a lot as a rookie and he was undrafted.
We have different definitions of “a lot”. Butler has played a higher percentage of games than Forrest btw. The problem is that Butler hasn’t been that good. Rookies on good teams don’t always get lots of play. You gotta earn it.

NAW can defend, he can self-create and he can score. If he'll limit his shot selection, he can make spot-up 3s. That's more than I can say about Forrest.
looks like he won't see minutes under quin for now. it's either he's still not comfortable with the plays or quin is not impressed at practice.

Butler has done something to put himself on the Elijah Hughes/Miye Oni train to oblivion. We don't see practices or scrimmages so we don't know what the transgressions are.

He can't. Just because he attempts to do it means he could do it. Dude was putting up all time ****** stats on a lottery team he isn't going to come in and play winning ball. At least Forrest has intagibles.

We don't know if he can or can't. His only time so far with the Jazz has been garbage time. He has House on the roster so it is hard to break into the rotation.

Why does it have to be either. He’s trying to win games and put his team in the best position to win games. He’s also not going to play an 11 man rotation.

Again look at my post above. NAW’s and Butler’s best bet to play is going through spring training and and preseason and JC getting traded at next years deadline could help as well or off season.

We have a huge sample size of what he can do. Hope he improves this off-season

Yes but by putting on the Utah Jazz jersey all of his issues will fade away… you see there is magic in our laundry that heals players and turns them from inefficient chuckers into amazing three and D guys.

If NAW doesn’t do anything that causes us to retain him beyond his current contract, this will be one of the most short-sighted salary dumps ever. We dumped $3M in salary off our books this year in exchange for adding $5M to the books next year, and next year’s books are much, much more problematic than this year’s. I strongly encourage anyone reading to go take a look at it.

There will be further collateral.

To much outside noise about Donovan to NYC. I would do what Denver did is and get a bunch of Knicks players and Picks for him because he never going to win anything here. Ball dominant players like Carmelo, TMac, Donovan don't when in playoffs and we can decide to cut the connection because if it comes a couple years from now and he walks out Jazz will look so bad because we all know how so many will act.. Hayward departure will look minor compared to Mitchell and Us Jazz fans will not look good. This team is not a Final caliber team. Warriors,Suns are both clearly better teams and if Nuggets get Jamal or MPJ back, just one of them comes back they are better built for playoffs with Jokic.

Get rid of American players and build around Rudy and other international players as the core because foreign players are more loyal than Americans today. Don't see Giannis, Jokic,Luka wanting a "Bigger Market".
