I will admit Jaxson Robinson isn't looking all that great. May not even get drafted at this point.

Ya you are making too big of a deal about this.
I just don't believe shooting is a strength of his at this point. That was kind of his criticism coming into the season and I think it's still a valid one.
I'm not basing this thinking solely off free throws like you seem to think.


No matter how small the sample size of poor free throw shooting is, I'm still not sold on him as a shooter. I watch all BYU games and he mostly only takes wide open outside shots for a reason.

Ya I base it off more than you do for sure. I use history, context, his willingness to shoot harder outside shots (even he isn't confident in his own shot yet), etc
I also watch him play more than you do.

Edgecombe’s functional athleticism is elite. He should beat guys and get in the paint. Only question will be how intelligently he can finish plays. Early returns on his shooting are concerning, however.

i don't blame non-byu fans for buying the hype on robinson, but if byu fans were paying attention, they would know robinson was nowhere near being a legit draft prospect. he was horrible in big12 play last year. and can't really do anything well other than shoot - which he only did well against bad teams. and keep in mind we were talking about a 4 year player - not a frosh.

He is incredibly young for a 5th year player though. Turns 22 in December.

true. but he was really bad. averaged 2 rebs, 1 assist and had a TS% of 52% in conference play. even if he was 18 that's bad. but as a four year guy who isn't strong, isn't an athlete, can't put it on the floor, etc - that's just not an nba player.

he was probably the worst player on the floor in the duke game.
