Following Potential 2025 Draftees

So he's a 6'6 PG who is slow and weak, but manages to get to the FT line at an extraordinary rate?

Because he's an extremely advanced flopper who flops constantly. Every rebound with any contact has him flying backwards, every jumpshot has him kicking his legs out to try to get hit, etc.

Which is a good skill!

But he's so weak and slow that he can't really create good shots.

Maybe he can put on a ton of weight and then can muscle defenders out of the way in the NBA and that's his path to stardom. Would not dismiss that possibility at all.

But he's not college Luka right now and Leif's statement is ridiculous.

Crazy that a dude who gets bad shots shoots 49/43 splits. Including having his best game against one of the biggest/most athletic teams in college.

Darryn Peterson in the '26 draft is probably a better guard prospect than anyone in this year's draft. He's got size, functional athleticism, inside/outside scoring, and the ability to beat defenders in multiple ways. Really impressive.

Wrong thread, but if there isn't a 2026 thread we should start one. That is looking like an elite draft class. Quintence is averaging almost 5 stocks right now, for example.

Flagg might not be generational (we use that word too much) but he’s still a very high quality number one pick IMO.

So is Tre better than Bambi Bailey?
He's been more impressive to date, in my opinion.

He's averaging 21.1 on 48/44/84 splits. There's probably a good argument that he's been the most consistently good Freshman this year, he's only had one really bad shooting game. I wish he had more assists and stocks to get really excited about him.

I'm pretty sure if he was putting up these numbers last year he would be the clear cut number one pick.

i don't think there is any question he is better right now - he's better than pretty much everybody right now. however, Bailey is about 6 months younger, is a better athlete and is 6'9" to Tre's 6'5/6'6". iow, there is some upside with Bailey that can't be accounted for in terms of current side by side play comparison.

That's probably Derik Queen

Ace's upside is really difficult to determine as his feel for the game and handle are so bad that it's not clear either could ever become good and without being good in those areas, he's just MPJ or MPJ lite.

It's like

1. Flagg
2. Harper

3. Tre
4. Queen
5-20: A bunch of other guys

Derik Queen once again dominating a good team.
If Queen starts hitting threes at 40% like he did last game I will just need yall to bare with me okay. I will likely get wild and yall just need to let me breathe okay? I'm going to say some **** and I don't need it to be held against me.
