Isn't Nico super close with Kyrie? I do wonder if he consulted with Kyrie prior to the deal.

they do -- but they would be fire-saleing a lot of their roster. might make more sense to do in the off-season. At any rate, Lauri is a perfect third option for Kyrie and Davis and I suspect it's incomingThey don't have matching salary.
Trades will be very hard until everyone is signed under the bigger money salary cap.
Dallas is gonna go all in for Lauri

LoL .. but do we have Anthony Davis?Of course we're involved helping Luka move to the team every fanbase, including ours, hates the most in the league.
We couldn't somehow be involved in this by actually getting Luka, despite having infinitely more assets than the Lakers. Great job, Danny.
They built a team to win now and want to see it through. Luka wasn't showing the commitment level necessary. They traded him for a win now package. You can't win in the NBA without a top 10 player. The more I think about this, the more I am baffled by the deal from Allas's perspective. There is no reality in the multiverse where Cuban makes that deal, at all. I'm trying to let go of this nagging feeling the owners are setting up a Kansas City Shuffle to move the team, but they literally lost hundreds of millions in valuation alone with that trade. Either Silver ordered them to make the deal or the new owners are setting up something. I just can't wrap my head that Fat Luka was the sole reason.

He certainly is, especially with KyrieStreet Clothes ain't top 10.
If losing in the finals didn't motivate him, I doubt this will. This is crazy. No one could have imagined Luka getting traded and of course it's to the Lakers. The way they re tool with superstars is unreal. Hopefully for our sake and the future laker pick this isn't a wake up call for Luka to get into and stay in great shape. Unfortunately I think being next to LeBron and seeing the way he approaches things will have a positive impact on the way he approaches his body.
You get it done stealth because if both your targets say no then Luka knows you were actively trying to trade himSome ideas I don't see mentioned yet:
- Dallas probably wanted to get this done stealthily because of Lebron.
- Kyrie has been really good this year and they are trying to match his timeline.
