Game Thread: Utah Jazz @ NY Knicks 2/6/12, 5:30 MST

How about the foul they called on Kanter. He has the ball at the top of the key being hounded, then he turns and they call and offensive foul as the knick player flops> I don't even think there was any contact, and that was when the game was still close but the knicks were starting to pull ahead.

That is how refs can do it. Just call some bad calls like that to screw a team as the other team is making a run. Give them a helpful push.

If you read the book by the gambling ref, he explains in detail how Bavetta is the best at doing that.

Yeah that was really ticky-tacky. He did extend his arms though and pushed him out as Tyson was playing good D on him.

so, no anthony, stoudamire and chandler being in foul trouble. we lost against this kind of a knicks team as well as to teams like the raptors. no way we are a playoff team and looks like our front office is not ready to upgrade the point guard position. our pg, sg and sf are not starter caliber players in this league!

Teams tend to rally together under those circumstances to surprise teams. Compound onto that the emotional charge Stoudemaire's loss had on the team, combined with the Superbowl victory, and Lin's emergence; it's not that surprising.

This has nothing to do with whether or not the Jazz have ever been a good road team.

The Jazz were playing a D-League team tonight. Not a bad NBA team, but a D-League team. There isn't a single Knick outside of Melo and Amare who could start on an NBA team with a winning record, and some of them couldn't start on an NCAA tournament team. And to make things worse, there is no one to hold the players responsible for this kind of thing. Larry H. is dead and Sloan is driving a tractor on a farm somewhere.

do you think that harris, bell and hayward can start on any team in this league?

Ok, I would love to get a better pg, but who? Who is gonna give us a better pg? Or is there a better one just waiting to be signed?

I think Novak was the x-factor. All he can do is shoot open J's and the jazz were happy to accomidate him.

I already said it. It was all Al's fault that we lost tonight.

a chain is only as strong as it's weakest link.
and on defense the weak link is black hole, so it tends to suck in the links of the chain. while it's gravity tears apart the links on said chain. in the end there is nothingness. and distant planets laugh at the chain for teaming up with the blackhole link

Jefferson didn't have many boards tonight. But most nights, he does and you still hate him.

Like I said, it doesn't matter what he does. You are gonna hate. And the more I call you out, the more pissed off you get.

Our go to guy on offense has a horrible points per possession. He doesn't rebound for the minutes he gets, and doesn't play defense. Seriously what's to like?

He is a black hole... A low post Carmelo Anthony... A volume shooter who 'tries' on defense.

The reason Millsap doesn't get **** is because he hustles... Even on a night that he is off he still gets 3 times as many rebounds in less minutes.

I would rather have Favors and Kanter trying and get rebounds and play D.....

Yeah, I was getting frustrated that Millsap kept jumping at his pump fakes giving him wide open looks to start the game. Should have just made him shoot over him, or force him to drive past you.

You've seen that video of you...you know...the one where you roll around on the floor playing with your kittens? You know what they say about most homophobes.

rolling around with kittens vs rolling around with other guys......

Bell and Hayward had good games. Hayward missed two open 3's, but other than that he did fine. Bell and Hayward defended their men. None of the Knicks off ball wing's went off (besides Novak who was at the 4 mostly).

do we have a chance to get something in return for the tpe?

or

for harris, gs pick and an other player (miles?)

seriously, i think no one would take harris. if we want to get rid of harris, we would have to throw in a bigman from our team as well as take a bad contract from the other team in return. i don't like our situation with harris and jefferson right now. millsap as well was kind of showing no heart for the first time this season. big disappointment...
