Following potential 2012 draftees

Yeah, but if we don't get our own pick ,we can trade for a pick, even in the 20's. Burke is short, but I think he could be a pretty good PG.

I'm not promoting the idea and I'm not saying whoever gets the #1 pick is likely to do it. I just simply want to ask the question. Do you think whoever gets the #1 pick would ever consider the #9, #13, Jefferson and Kanter for it? I personally think they'd consider it for a few minutes and ultimately decline. Would you do it if you were KOC? I would. Yes, we'd still be weak at the 1 and 3 but a Davis/Favors 4/5 with Millsap off the bench moving forward would be silly and any of Hayward's shortcomings (length) at the 3 would be masked with that defensive frontcourt. I also think attracting free agents would become easier.

I don't think anyone gives up Davis unless an established star is involved. Having said that, I think we'd be more than happy with #9 and #13 to complete our young core.

I wouldn't do that trade at all. How is Davis going to replace all that production? I know everyone is excited about Davis but the kid is going to have to get stronger to be a force offensively in the NBA. I think Charlotte would seriously consider that package considering how much help they need? The only reason MJ wouldn't do this trade would because of the bad BR. Basketball is a team sport and one great player does not make a contender. The other part of the trade which makes it hard to determine if it is too much or too little is that all players except AJ haven't proven much in the NBA. What players will be available at #9 or #13?

I would rather trade AJ for a real need such as a very good SF.

I watched Burke play all season at Michigan if you have any questions about him. I'm really disappointed that he is leaving early - he could have used one more year to get a little stronger and more experience and I think the team next year would have at least been top 8 potential with McGary and Glenn Robinson III coming in to play.

That being said, he is smart, has an amazing feel for the game, is aggressive, has a shot, and plays like a point guard......plus he is an extremely hard worker. I know PKM hates comparisons but I have said he will at least be as good as Eric Maynor and at very best Kevin Johnson. Guy is a stud and size is the only thing he has going against him.

Would love the Jazz to get him, but not higher than 20.

Maynor was pretty unathletic both in speed and hops, how would you compare his athleticism to Maynor's?

I was referring to impact on the game - leadership - making a difference right away - plays in control - bball IQ.

Burke is much faster and I would say much more aggressive than Maynor. Likes to attack the rim and go right at you. Doesn't really have hops.

EDIT:
This video is annoying to watch because of the pauses, but he was incredible inthis game - especially for a freshman pg.

Damn, wide range

Is Burke pass first or shoot first?

I really think he is pretty balanced - or would be in the NBA. But if I were to label him I would say he is on the side of shoot first. He was on a Michigan team that needed someone to take the big shots and take control of the game. There were times in the BIG10 and NCAA tournament that he really needed to pass but felt like he needed to make the shot and get his team back in it. Took some bad ones that's for sure. But I chalk that up to inexperience and really wanting to win. During the season he had better shot selection and game management.

He really plays like a point guard though, knows the pick and roll, and is fun to watch.
