It's too bad the economy and our world reputation can't be fixed by "supporting teh gays" -- thanks for really putting an effort in, *** wipe.

Isn't everything done in politics a political move? Almost every move a President makes in their first 4 years is done with getting reelected in mind. It's sad, but it's the system.
 
I have no problem with Obama supporting gay marriage. What I wonder is if this will hurt him with the Black community on election day.

They just have to say "White Mormon" to themselves and they are checking Obama.

Because while the economy is the main issue it is not the only issue. Immigration, budget, gay marriage, defense spending, health care...will all be talked about to some extent.

While I agree with you, I still feel like all of this is a side show. I don't put gay marriage on the same level of importance as health care, defense spending, and the budget (I'm assuming you're talking about the deficit).

Budget can be used for both. Or about the fact that congress can't pass a budget but that gets more into the BS that is Capitol Hill.

To you and I am sure many others. But I know people who think repealing Obama Care or approving Gay Marriage are the number one issues. If the candidate only ever talked about 1 issue (take economy in this example) I do not see them winning the election. It can certainly be their main issue but not the only one.

As for the sideshow comment. Well this whole entire thing is a sideshow. I seriously doubt Obama or Romey do/try even 1/3 of what they say they will.
