Obama Might Lose This

'I voted for Barack because he was black. 'Cuz that’s why other folks vote for other people — because they look like them, that’s American politics, pure and simple. Obama’s message didn’t mean **** to me. In the end, he’s a politician. I just hoped he would do some of what he said he was gonna do. I know politicians say ****; they lie. 'Cuz they want to get elected.' ~ Samuel L. Jackson

Sadly this is what politics has come down to. You don't make an informed decision. You vote for someone that you identify with and then hope they do something good while in office.

I agree with you, but I think Bush fatigue had something to do with it as well.

To me that is as bad as not voting for him because he is black. Like voting/not voting for Romney becuase he is Mormon. Idiots.

How do you tell them they ain't using their brain in a non-insulting way?

Are you wearing a gun at the time?

It is against the law for me to be armed at work. I have someone doing that for me.

Ex: Guy comes in asking me questions about certain regulations. I give him the answers. Sicne he does not like them he tells me that I am wrong. At which point I tell him "If you already know the answers why are you here?" He stops looks at me and says soemthing along the lines of "i don't which is why I came to you" then he accepts my answer and leave

another ex: they want me to give them soemthing and I tell them what they need to get the item they desire. They get mad because they do not have what is required. They go to take it out on me. I interupt them and ask them "when was I voted into office? When did I make this law? You do not like it then get informed and vote. But I am not here to listen to you cry and complain."

Edit: A good trick is if you laugh in a friendly way and not a mocking one then they will most likely take your insult/criticism to heart and not as an insult. It kind of shocks them awake so to speak.

At least he tells it like it is.

Those examples are pretty interesting but I meant how you get away with it in terms of the Obama criticism.

Edit: PEople come in all the time bashing Obama. I stop them and ask if they even know why they hate him. usually it is "becasue he is a democrat" or a marxist or a communist or even muslim. At that point I tell them to go back to not thinking.

Agreed. If the only way you can beat the guy is by trying to disqualify him based on a technicality then your position is pretty weak. Try attacking his positions and his record, not his imagined religion and his imagined nationality.

Apparently he is the one that imagined his nationality, no? It seems the origin of the Keynan rumors can now be traced directly to him, or his book hustler if you believe in fall guys. Before, it was none other than that crazy birther couple - the Clintons - that started the birther movement.

How is that any different than what Yahoo's CEO did that was recently fired? They both were trying to weasel their way into economic opportunities. I'm sure Yahoo's CEO was just an honest mistake originating with his secretary. Just like everybody else that gets caught lying in high positions have their fall guys. Just like Eric Holder and the White House had no idea that the government was sending guns into Mexico, except well, turns out they actually did.

I really think Obama is psychotic. He doesn't even know himself. That's why you get composites of his life at best, and never the real story.

If they push it I just tell them to get informed and ldislike him for real reasons.

This really happened no lie. Guy came in because his monthly benefits was missing. Came in going off about how Obama took his money. He comes to talk to me and I tell him to save the president bashing because i do not want to hear it. I pull up his record and see that he moved and never told us so his benefit went to his old address. At which point I told him "I guess Obama forgot to tell us you moved. That was pretty dirty of him"

I am not saying "stop thinking" to people who are actually doing it.

Republicans essentially suck when it comes to personal liberties, but are great at economic liberties.

Democrats essentially suck when it comes to economic liberties, but are great at personal liberties.

Libertarians are great at both, which is why I spiritually consider myself one.

Only if you count telling everyone what lightbulb to use, what cars to drive, what food to eat, etc. as "great at personal liberties."

BTW, has anyone read Journeys in Black and White or seen the "financial journalist" work of Obama?
