Following potential 2012 draftees

Yep .. you never know. By the way, he was highest on UK when he was around 14/15 years old and made a few unofficial visits and played some pick-up. He was unbelievable. He played like a 6'9 PG. Could do it all. He was downright astonishingly good. Then he blew up ... the wrong way.

Sadly, his parents felt going to Cali would be best for his 'stardom' and it all went downhill from there .. chasing marketability over sticking to the game.

Just to piggyback on this - I was at the 2006 Big Time tournament in Las Vegas and spent the majority of the weekend in the main gym. D1 Greyhounds, SoCal All Stars, and MeanStreets Express - some of the best AAU teams ever assembled - were all there, featuring the likes of Kevin Love, Derrick Rose, Eric Gordon, Brandon Jennings, OJ Mayo, Billy Walker, Taylor King, Greg Monroe, and many others. It was close, but Renardo was the best prospect in the gym. He was filthy. 6'10", silky smooth, handled like a PG, range out to 24 feet...the sky was truly the limit.

Not that anyone wants to hear. My call yesterday was to tell me that Portland has made a big splash with HOU and are expected to derail out talks a bit. I know no details other than that.

Just another reason why I hate Portland. They are always trying to screw the Jazz. That is why I use my voodoo doll to curse them with injuries. LOL.

Looks like Jae Crowder is going to be around 6'5 with shoes on since he measured 6'3 3/4 today without shoes.

For those keeping track, that is 6' 5" with a good wingspan and strong as ****. Not good news, but I'm not discouraged. He knows he has to become a perimeter player.

I can see Portland going for Austin Rivers around 14-16. He just seems like thier type of player.
They're probably going to trade their own pick and move down to one of Houston's picks.
We've still got a chance at the other pick though.

Been reading and watching more of Jeff Taylor, and while I'd prefer a potentially higher reward player like Quincy Miller or Royce White, I'd be ok with us drafting him, if he's our target. He would bring defense and shooting, if nothing else--two things we desperately need more of. He also seems pretty athletic and apparently has a killer work ethic. He could be a good fit for us.

Who is Portland trading away to get that though? The only thing I can think of is if they are trading one of their higher picks to trade down, or a sign and trade with Batum.
