Jazz might have the deepest and most flexible bench in the NBA this year, three deep at every position.
Now he has shooters to pass to, maybe he will. Or maybe with shooters that have to be covered, he will be going one-on-one in the post instead of one-on-many and won't have to pass. Maybe he'll get more assists, maybe he'll score more. Maybe with other players on the team who can score he won't get the ball as much and both stats will drop. There's lots of ways this can play out. Now, if we can just get Jefferson passing out of the post a bit more...
Williams/Watson/Tinsley
Burks/Foye/Murphy
Hayward/Williams/Carroll
Favors/Millsap/Evans
Jefferson/Kanter
idk.
Do they hope to re-sign him? This is completely the opposite of what is going on with Dwight. Teams want a long term deal with him, and in the case of the Lakers trade that never happened, teams wanted a long term deal with Bynum. What do the Jazz do? They sign a player to a one year deal. Backwards to the rest of the league. Do the Jazz think that they can sway him into a reasonable multi year contract because of what a great young core we have? Or is this really a one year rental? (don't mind me, just rambling.)
Here's mine:
PG: Maurice Williams, Jamaal Tinsley, Earl Watson
SG: Randy Foye, Alec Burks, Kevin Murphy
SF: Marvin Williams, Gordon Hayward, Demarre Carroll
PF: Derrick Favors, Paul Millsap, Jeremy Evans
C: Al Jefferson, Enes Kanter
Watson + Al Jeff for Royce White? or for something? It seems like a strange roster as currently comprised.
How many of you believe that this move means that another move/trade is coming?
I don't. Also, isnt there some kind of rule about signing a FA and trading him right away?

I think he meant getting rid of Watson or Big Al or smoneelse.
I don't think Watson is someone we should "get rid off".
