Following potential 2013 draftees

Hmm.. I'll have to ask, don't know off the top of my head.

I'm really just trying to find out if he might still grow a little bit or if he is done growing. If he is a legit 6.825" and he could still grow slightly then he could really be a great piece to add to the puzzle.

I believe he'll be a SF in the league. He does everything better than TJones and he could play it at least sparingly. He's already plenty big for SF .. but yeah, another 1/2 inch would be great. (and this kid could possibly be within reach .. assuming GSW has a couple of anticipated injuries)

That is the only reason that I am asking. I have been a fan of his for a little over a year. The very few times that I have watched him he seems to stick out because of his defensive abilities and his unselfish attitude. I know that I miss about 99% of what type of a player someone is by watching them on TV, but that is all I have to go on currently.

The other reason that I have liked him is because he never seems to be that big name in the game that I am watching but by the end of the game you know his name and start taking an interest. All positives if you ask me. (I had some similar feelings about Hayward as well)

From little I've heard, there is just too much concern over him being an undersized PF and not enough faith he can effectively play the 3. Everyone seems to love him, but not confident enough to have him picked in the lottery. He would have to show some real improvement in his perimeter skills to significantly move up. Having said that, I'd say he's a lock for top top 25.

For the record he is playing 3 exclusively this year. The team plans to showcase him as moser has every intention of leaving after this year and Dave rice has every intention of putting his first guy into the league. I think he can play the three. He is not necessarily a slasher, but he has deep range. Maybe a granger type.

You have given out too much Reputation in the last 24 hours, try again later.

I appreciate you sharing this information with the board. I will rep you as soon as I can.

Also I do think moser played out of position last year at the four. Unlv will have one of the best front courts in the NCAA this year once birch is eligible in December. Moser will be able to focus on knocking down the shots instead of doing everything on the floor. The staff has said as much. Unlv will more than likely be top 10 preseason this year.

That's good to hear. At the risk of sounding like I'm pimping Cal, I love it when college coaches step up and let the kids play to their dreams (I think we have seen the coaches can get so much more out of them that way). I'm pulling for Mike and Dave Rose .. I think he's one of the more promising up and comers.

Is this the Dave rose that was an assistant at byu?

Poythress seems like such a perfect fit for us. But, like MKG, his stock will rise and he'll be out of our range come draft day :(

That is my worry as well. Let's just hope that come tourney time there are a bunch of guys that play great and they will be overrated and drafted too high leaving Poythress for us. Also, I have said this before, but I wouldn't mind if the pick cam to the Jazz for the 2014 draft. That group seems like they have high talent through the lottery. That could be ideal for the Jazz.

Yep .. either way. Not that it will matter for us, but '15 is going to be another monster class.

I need to catch up on the '14 and '15 classes apparently, I really only know the biggest names. But I do like our potential options in the '13 lottery (Poythress is first on my list of somewhat realistic possibilities).
