I say Pitt bulls are great dogs, other than they will chew up everything. And I don't mean to imply humans too. I have raised one before. He lived 11 years. He was a great dog. I had him trained very well. He was the nicest dog you would ever meet. I used to walked around public places with him with no leash just to see people's faces. It was pretty funny, because he looked mean as hell. He was 90 lbs of pure muscle. I never once sensed any hostility from him what's so ever. In fact I noticed he was much more trust worthy in terms of how I felt he would react in certain situations compared to other dogs, like being around kids, or how he was around food. I could literally give him a steak and take it back out of his mouth if I wanted to. I took him around kids plenty of times with no problems.
I have been bit by 3 different dogs (all non pits.). One which was my own. It was a smoyd chow mix. I was just trying to grab his water bowl. Little *******. That dog was our family dog that was kept outside and didn't get much love. My pit was an inside dog that went every where with me.
I say it all just comes down to how you treat the animal, mostly. Some animals, like humans are just inherently bad. The problem with pits are that if they fall into the wrong hands, then they can be dangerous. They are a strong animal. But I believe they are good dogs.
If you want to out law something to stop pit attacks, how about outlaw stupid *** gangstas.
Also, I think most will agree that the most vicious dogs are those dumb little ankle biters. All kinds.
