What's new

Where is that pit bull thread when I need it?

All I can say is that the only dogs I've ever been attacked by were pitbulls. That being said, I place the blame on the owner because everybody out there trying to be "hard" gets a pitbull cause it's a street status thing.

Only dog to ever attack me is a German Shepard. A mutt tried it once in honduras but it caught on rock in its face then another in its ribs. Cried for 3 blocks.

To me those people are the truest posers. True badasses just are. They don't try to gain a status or worry about it.

It's more of a marriage of convenience when I talk about it being a status thing. If you've got a pit then that means you've got a large stash that needs protecting and an early warning system for the police. It also means that you've got the status of being involved in the dog fights and gambling that goes along with it.

If I wanted a dog to act as an early warning system i would get a couple chihuahuas. Those things NEVER shut the hell up.

Wouldn't that defeat the porpoise?

My dad has one and anytime any one gets within 5 feet of the house he knows. I pull up in my car and he knows. If oyu have your own home then chances anyone gettign that close if there to visit or do harm. Either way you know before hand and are prepared. For me that means my woman and I have time to get dressed.

That is they type of dog i am going to get. Just haven't decided between yellow, chocolate or black.

I have a chocolate and a yellow. The chocolate is the better dog, but that's just their personalities. The yellow one is one hyper mother ****ing dog.

I say Pitt bulls are great dogs, other than they will chew up everything. And I don't mean to imply humans too. I have raised one before. He lived 11 years. He was a great dog. I had him trained very well. He was the nicest dog you would ever meet. I used to walked around public places with him with no leash just to see people's faces. It was pretty funny, because he looked mean as hell. He was 90 lbs of pure muscle. I never once sensed any hostility from him what's so ever. In fact I noticed he was much more trust worthy in terms of how I felt he would react in certain situations compared to other dogs, like being around kids, or how he was around food. I could literally give him a steak and take it back out of his mouth if I wanted to. I took him around kids plenty of times with no problems.

I have been bit by 3 different dogs (all non pits.). One which was my own. It was a smoyd chow mix. I was just trying to grab his water bowl. Little *******. That dog was our family dog that was kept outside and didn't get much love. My pit was an inside dog that went every where with me.

I say it all just comes down to how you treat the animal, mostly. Some animals, like humans are just inherently bad. The problem with pits are that if they fall into the wrong hands, then they can be dangerous. They are a strong animal. But I believe they are good dogs.

If you want to out law something to stop pit attacks, how about outlaw stupid *** gangstas.

Also, I think most will agree that the most vicious dogs are those dumb little ankle biters. All kinds.

I hate Chows. Been around two and both would bite at the drop of a hat. I picked one up by the neck and threw it over a fence because I had had enough.

Haha. It's funny you say that. My step dad picked up our chow and punched / threw him over our fence when he bit him.

PKM, are you my step daddy?

Yeah, but, damn it feels good to be a gangsta.

We have a chow mix and had another that we had to put down in the winter. Saddest I've ever been actually. I wept uncontrollably and held him as they put him down and after for about 15 minutes. I'm actually welling up just thinking about it. He was a chow/shar pei mix. Didn't look too much like a shar pei though really...a bit pit bull-ish. A very strong 55 pounds and the cutest little guy. The biggest heart. I have no doubt he would fight to the death for us. But having been abused as a baby by first owner, he had a bad side. And it came out as he got older, went blind (which actually tamed him some), and then got Alzheimer's...poor guy. I miss him so much.

This is him, blind.
