I think in general the Republican party thinks we are idiots. They dumb everything down. I do see the point of tObama needing to connec better(i think hes done a poor job selling some key issues), but aren't you happy he's not dumbing it down to level of some politicians? I for one am happy he's smarter than I am. Raise the bar.

Yes the GOP dumbs things down. That does not mean that the people doing so are dumb. Just disengenous. Obama is a very smart man. However dumbing it down has never been the lefts game.

8 years of Bush:

Starting national debt - 5.728 T
Ending national debt - 10.627 T

10.627 T - 5.728 T = 4.899 T added

Obama in less than 4 years:

Starting National debt - 10.6257 T
Current National debt - 15.992 T

15.992 T - 10.6257 T = 5.336 T added
