The Debates

All I'm thinking is we need some normal people asking questions or steering the debates in these things. Make it a total freak show and don't pre-screen anybody. These guys should have enough depth to them already to answer some curve balls that people like Lehrer aren't going to provide without being cooped up in Vegas resorts working on their already stale talking points for a few days. Maybe it serves a purpose as a decent introduction for those that haven't been paying any attention, but man, I can't watch anymore of these things.

Everyone that posted in this thread spoke (exclusively) about the debate and the candidates, until you showed up. Shocker.

Because he is not interested in the debate. He is only here to attack people personally. I am sure he will have something to say about me if he hasn't already.

I liked the debate and I think it provided alot of specifics and showed areas of clear difference.

Great idea Duck. Sprinkle some Jerry Springer in there.

I'd love to see them face tough questions.

Kill lists, justifying warrantless cell phone taps, failing on immigration, failing to keep promisies, flopping on issues...

Obama has not been that great, but I'm just not seeing this as some kind of beatdown.

I'm curious how fact-checkers are going to come out on the $5 trillion tax cut issue. I know Romney isn't going to let his campaign be run by fact checkers or whatever, but I can't totally figure out if he jettisoned something tonight or if he's playing some kind of more subtle game.

CNN came out and said Obama's claim was false. Then they talked about how Romney has not claimed how he would offset tax cuts.

So False with a but.

CBS just showed some interesting insta polling results amongst the undecideds. I don't remember the exact numbers, but I think the perception of Romney was up positively 26 percentage points or something pre to post debate. Should be interesting to read some of these with bigger sample sizes over the next few days.

Nope. Just pointing out that your posts suck. Nothing more.

Then by all means, place me on your ignore list and stop replying to my posts. I dare you.

Also, I loved how you used to rep me all the time requesting me to rep you. Ha ha nice job.

CNN came up with a good point. The only people that matter are the undecideds and independents in the battleground states. Ohio, Florida, New Hampshire, Colorado...how did they view the debate. They are talking as if Romney won and that whena challenger has a strong debate performance they usually see a bump. Very interesting.

I have to admit that I hands down prefer the way CNN handles election and debate coverage on the night they happen. Fairer, cleaner, more tech savy...
