Official Locker Room Cleanout Thread

Favors says he's ready to take the next step if needed, but if not he's ok with that and will just keep working.
Talked about going to the coaches about getting help with his free throw shooting and improving his offense.

Said he wasn't sure about an extension this summer. That his agent and the Jazz will talk about that.
Likes it in Utah, compares it a lot to Georgia and that it feels like home. His mom likes it here too.

Said he's going to work on his conditioning this summer and his Offense.

Felt that he improved this season, in communicating with his teammates on D, and when to go for a block and when not to.

Marvin will opt back in. He is owed a lot more money than he will command in the open market for at least one year. Then he will be playing for his next payday so maybe he won't suck as bad.

2. As soon as CP3 signs a new deal with the Clippers, I'll bet Bledsoe becomes available. They can't keep both.

So lose Big Al, Sap, Mo.

Sign/trade for Gasol, Bledsoe, Foye, Carroll and Tinsley?

Bledsoe/Burks/Tinsley
Burks/Foye/Murphy
Hayward/Marvin/Carroll
Gasol/Kanter/Evans
Favors/Kanter

That gives us 12 players so maybe 1 more? A 3rd string C?

Yeah, I think Marvin opts in too. He has to much to lose by opting out.

Losing Mo and Big Al while having Favors, Marvin and Hayward will be a big step in improving the Jazz D.

If he does improve his D and gets a constant corner three down, that would be a big plus to his game and a nice asset to the Jazz. I hope he comes back.

I honestly believe re-signing Carroll should be the FO's priority (at a reasonable price, of course). He's really the only player I want the Jazz to keep out of all our free agents.

we have three draft picks this year...

And, **** No to Gasol. He eats all of our cap space.... and, for what? **** No

who are we going to use cap space on this year anyway? this coming season is about developing our young guys, and positioning ourselves for the next year. We wont be able to get the lakers pick next year, because they already traded the pick from this year and you cant trade picks two years in a row. Maybe we could get something else from them, or maybe they are owed a first round pick or something. I would not say no to Pau until we know what else he comes with. He would just be another expiring contract.

Yay!

Burks talked about the rotation, asked if he thought it was fair? He said he couldn't answer that.
I take it is that means no.

Talked about playing all three positions, 1-2-3. Said management considers him as a combo guard. Said he doesn't care which he plays as long as he is playing, that's all that matters.

Said the 82 game season is rough. Even for a young guy like him.

Said he is going to go home for the summer and workout, also go to Santa Barbara as well. Also plans to work with the Jazz coaches as well.

Also considered the season as unsuccessful.

NAOS....
