As I read many of these posts and observations by Jazz fanzs I've come to the realization that most, not all, but most of you are as brain dead as the Heat! First off, many of you have bought into hook, line and sinker....that basketball games are won by individuals and not TEAMS! Look, nothings wrong with Wade....other than he's getting older, loosing some of his skills and hops and just doesn't always play smart basketball! Hey, I like him (he's tattoo-less!) but he's not really that top notch of a ball player anymore, if he ever was! Plus, the Heat just don't have a reliable offensive "system" other than hope there athletic ability trumps that of the other team! The way I see it, and the way all of you true Jazz fanzs should see it is this: If the Heat played the Spurs 100 seven game series'......they wouldn't win 1 series! They might win a game or two, but not a 7 game series!

Their main sets can be isolations w/ James but that doesn't mean he has to win individually. When he draws an extra defender he simply passes and then everyone else is involved. It's a pretty simple concept. He just initiates all the plays, you know, like Tony Parker does for the Spurs.
And though I'm a "True JazzFan", the way I see it is that the Heat will still win the series.

I say Spurs in 6, possibly 5. Remember that the finals format is 2-3-2 not 2-2-1-1-1. It may never come back to Miami after game 2.

It was just hyperbole that illustrates that the contrasting styles are so diametrically opposite of what real basketball execution is all about that IF they DID play 100 series......it's doubtful the Heat would win even 1 of them! When you are a well oiled machine up against a group of guys that are slinging oil all over the place, you gonna get beat profusely!

The way the Spurs use Parker is actually completely different than the way the Heat use Lebron! The Spurs, first of all, trust ALL the players on the court at any particular time to take the shot! Although Lebron would like to do that also, he doesn't/can't and usually set up for just Wade, Bosh or possibly Allen. No real plays are run by the Heat, not so with the Spurs. The Heat will not win this series unless Parker gets hurt or Popovich keels over!

Obviously dude, this is my suggestion of what they should do, not what they are currently doing. Their half-court offense leaves much to he desired. However, I still think they'll take the series.

.....to do what you suggest would basically mean starting all over and revamping their entire offensive system! Not going to happen. They are who we thought they were......and the Spurs are going to sweep these clowns!

It's not like the Heat currently have much of an offensive system at this point. Absolutely no way the Spurs sweep, and I doubt they win the series.

Maybe he doesn't, but I disagree that he can't. Seems to me that the Heat always have 5 guys on the floor that can hit a shot. Probably their weakest link is Birdman, and he shot like 95% last series, so.... I'm nitpicking you on this point.

The Heat have overrated shooters, at least from the outside! They shoot a high percentage overall because of the turnovers they create that turn into fast break dunks! Not going to happen against the Spurs! Hard to get a fast break basket.....when your taking the ball out of bounds after the Spurs have scored on ya! Plus, they don't turn the ball over that much to begin with! Popovich doesn't mind 3 pointers, but if you miss them they can turn into fast break outlet passes that the Heat will then dunk on your head!

Well, now you are changing things around, not just scoring, but shooting from outside, that's a different point.
Bringing home the original argument:

Haslem is very accurate from medium range.
Allen is an all time great shooter.
Bman finishes at a high %.
Wade is an allstar scorer.
Bosh is an allstar scorer.
Battier is a smart efficient player.
Miller has proven to be a superb shooter in the playoffs.
The other guards seem effective scoring both on the drive and shooting from what I've seen of them.
I guess they have one backup on the front line who doesn't get many minutes or short attempts.

So I don't think LeBron needs to feel that he can't trust his teammates to score.
If you are going to limit the argument to long range shooting, I am still skeptical. Seems to me the Heat have plenty of good long range shooters, if you go down the rosters and compare them man to man.
Maybe this explains your 99 out of a hundred projections. I think you are off base here.
 
People keep saying that San Antonio is Indiana with a PG.

Huh?

San Antonio has a bench and tons of guys who can make it rain from 3.

In addition to getting a PG, Indy needs to find some 3 pt shooting. Stevenson's shot was ugly, like Brewer's.

.....The Heat shot well from 3 point land during the regular season.....when there fast break domination opened up things and created wide open shots. But now that the playoffs have started and the game becomes more half-court oriented and the collar gets tight on those shooters, I don't think they've done nearly as well. Be that as it may, unless Lebron can penetrate into the lane (and the Spurs are stopping that for the most part) the Heat's offense is pathetically generic and not that efficient! Simply stated: the Spurs half-court offense is much better than the Heat's......and the Heat have neither the time nor the proper type players to change that much! Spurs in 5.....maybe 4!

I've heard coaches say that the teams with the two best offenses are the Spurs and the Heat. Miami doesn't just play isolation basketball like they did their first year together. They move the ball very well and find the open shooters. You don't go on the second longest winning streak in NBA history if you have a ****ty offense. I agree they don't have the same precision as San Antonio in the half court, but you make it sound like you're talking about the Jazz instead of the Heat.

Furthermore, I think anyone that says this series is going to only be 4 games is kidding themselves. When I was originally making my prediction I had a hard time deciding if it was going to go to 6 or 7 games. Right now I'm thinking 7.
