McCollum vs Burke vs Schroeder

After the Nike Hoop Summit the haters said it's only one game, after the SL they'll say but it was the Summer League, it doesn't count.
Schroeder looks smooth as silk to me. He is passing beautifully, and the speed looks good as advertised.

I love that we have Trey Burke, but I still have love for my old flame as well. We'll stalk him like an ex for the rest of his career.
Which will be long and glorious like his ****.

Great points, that is until you got into stalker mode.

Schroeder has a lot of upside right now, and he is looking like he IS going to reach his insanely high ceiling. Burke is looking like his floor has a few subterranean levels we were unaware of. To be sure that we get the best PG out of this draft class (so we don't have to address the situation post Wiggins or someone like that), we should trade for Schroeder while ATL is straddled with 4 PG's. Check my signature. Thoughts?

Here is a question, when Burke's shot isn't falling fr him what others ways can he contribute in, at a high level? If his shot isn't falling then teams can play off him which means that they can clog up the paint, which means that the Jazz will have a hard time finding the open man.

At least with Schroeder you know that he can always play a ferocious style of defense that will bother EVERY PG in the NBA.

... and Schroeder will always have the chance of blowing by someone to get to the rack, even if he can't finish in contact, he might just beat everyone to it.

Don't think that's enough right now. Either you wait until midway through the season close to the deadline to make a tempting offer depending on how he developed or you can risk the offer right now. But right now I don't see him available for less than a unprotected 2015 or 2016 pick + Tomic. Even then I'm not sure. Their signings of Millsap and Teague suggest they don't wanna tank but rather retool. And delay is not what they want. And I'm not sure that Burks + future pick would do it. Rest on the Jazz roster has no value for them or is too valuable to let go.

Schoeder with a bad game 2-8, 3 ast, 3 to. FOULED OUT in 26 minutes. Not a good sign at all he can play defense.

Also don't forget 0-5 from 3's... rough game.. it is against the well coached Spurs though so you've gotto cut him some slack.

Well if this isn't the dumbest thing I've ever heard! The real spurs are very well coached. This is SL!!

These guys have been together for what.... A couple weaks at best.

Nice try Hottykkk. You've gon into full blown excuse mode now!

But the Spurs assistant coaches would have been coaching & implementing their offense/defense? We did the same thing when we tried to get Burke accustomed to with our offense?

Moreover, you have teams like Phoenix that's being coached by the HC (Hornacek), Nets (Kidd), etc. These teams are taking this opportunity for the new guys to learn the offense & defensive scheme/plays early. It's not as laissez faire as your may think.

If they give Burke room, the shot will start falling. You can say the same about Schroeder.

Two things.

1. Even if you give Schroeder room you can still get ample pressure to bother his shot. (slow set shot)

2. Burke has great intangibles. He will find another way to beat you with is strong will. Schroeder is a bit of a head case and could shut down. Burke has the mental makeup to succeed. Schroeder will have to prove he can do this.

Also don't forget the Spurs had 2 guys playing in that game who played in the NBA Finals, De Colo and Joseph.

These things take more then a week or two to really take hold. You actually think the SL Spurs even play close to the well oiled machine that is Duncan, Parker, and Ginobili, and all the other regulars? Give me a break kkk!

This is EXACTLY the player we wanted when we buzzing about him. I love the way he moves around.
He does seem like a pure PG compared to Burke. Trey is a warrior, and I'm not sure Dennis is, but time will tell.

Those highlights are exactly what you want to see if you like the kid. Sure he's going to have rough games, but only
idiots will deny the talent beneath the developing 19 year old there.

Denied. He sucks.
