Is Brandon Rush Done?

Dudes max average was 9 ppg.. he was highly overhyped here.. plus hes coming off a nasty injury.. and hes almost 30.

This......Rush was way over hyped after the trade. Most the people around here thought he was the highlight of the trade. Rush was supposed to come back and replace Burks.

What?!?! The only Rush worth a dang?! Geddy, Alex, and Niel!?!!! The greatest ever. Please bow and beg for forgiveness.

I love how ACL tears are NBD to so many people.

I thought Rush could be a steal as far as getting us some great 3 point shooting. Never expected him to replace Burks. He was overhyped for sure, but it looks like his career may be done. Sad, was hoping he give us a little lift.

jazz should have demanded harrison Barnes

The rumor was that they did, but there was no way in hell GSW was about to give up the very player they so blatantly tanked for the year before.

We should keep Rush for the rest of the year, it will help the tank. We should try our best to deal R.J. for a second rounder.

Should have gotten Kent Bazemore instead of Brandon Rush. There was NO way they were putting Harrison Barnes into any package that didn't include getting Dwight Howard, so forget about that one (although I'd have tried harder to get him because I think he'd have been a perfect fit for the Jazz.) With Barnes out of the equation, Bazemore over Rush would have given the Jazz a young, high-energy defensive guard who could fill the role that Junkyard Dawg used to fill. Cheap, fun, fan-favorite bottom of the roster guy who is fun to root for. I'm not discounting BRush's injury. It's still possible that he recovers as the season progresses and shows value. I just hope he's here for this year and gone next. I'd flip him for anything that they can at this point. Otherwise let him expire and take the cap space.

It was a decent gamble. It didn't pan out.

I agree that it was a risk. The thought was that they could buy low because of the injury. Unfortunately, it looks like age, poor conditioning and bad knees might keep him from being worth much. It's too bad. I really thought that if he came back strong after the injury that he'd be the team's best asset by the trade deadline because of his low contract. Thankfully Marvin has played better than I expected him to and essentially filled that role. Now they just need to move him.
