Following potential 2014 draftees

Randle is considerably more athletic than Millsap, both in lateral speed and hops, lets not undersell him here.

Well he definitely is right now, but Millsap could def get up back in the day. I'm not underselling him at all. I'm saying that he has slightly better athletic ability than a young Millsap but with a way more polished game, which means he can have a far greater impact in his early years and has a headstart on Millsap on the quest for skill development.

Don't see how that's insulting at all, especially considering the ability of Millsap

he can't do this **** in nba and this a fluke.

terranc ross scored 51 in a REAL NBA game, but he sucks, same story with wiggins

obviously you are not watching his game carefully enough. if favors has randle's post game, favors would turn into 26/12 monster. randle is a classic PF who can play down low. something many teams will value over a step back over lazy defender.

modern day Zebo.

LMAO.

1) Randle hasn't done too much against athletic defenders that are the same size as he is. He struggles when he can't bully his way through players, and he isn't going to bully his way through players in the NBA.

2) His wingspan is 6'11". Pretty much the only NBA PF's with wingspans at that length or smaller are athletic freaks (Blake Griffin) or very skilled players (Kevin Love). Randle is neither of those.

3) He's slow defensively, and he doesn't anticipate well. He'll get abused by any PF with any semblance of athleticism and a face-up game.

4) Zach Randolph is a terrible comparison, because Randolph has a wingspan of about 7'4-7'5. That makes a huge difference. We all know how much you love size…that's a difference of 4-5"…that's a lot. Plus Randolph is much more polished.

5) Randle is a darker skinned Tyler Hansbrough. They both generated at least 1/3 of their points in college from the FT line, and Hansbrough didn't get the calls in the NBA that he got in college. Average defenders who bullied defenses around, relying on the refs to help them out. Randle ain't all that great.

Hansbrough is too harsh. His footwork was not close to Randle's. Scoring inside is probably 33% footwork, 33% touch, and 33% physical attributes. If it was totally dependent on wingspan and explosiveness DeAndre Jordan would be averaging 28 points a game instead of 10 no?

only consistent player out of original 'big 3' is jabari parker. let's get that out of the way. if randle played like today all season long nobody would've questioned him. randle struggled and even looked like borderline 1st rounder in many ocassions. but so is wiggins. wiggins is inconsistent from shooting and finishing. dude disappears. it was refreshing to see him being aggressive and showing that great potential all over the place.

regardless of what you think of randle, he is still the cream of crop in terms of having a legit NBA post up game. i also worry about his lack of long arms and his height is a cause for concern. i stated that in my reply many times. but don't act like his supposedly 6ft 11 wingspan is official yet. we don't have any numbers on these players. randolph never was measured at the predraft. he does have gorilla arms for sure. but randle makes up for better athleticism and agility.

and if you see psycho T in julius randle than you probably never played or really analyzed basketball in your entire life. randle has a PF hip and has a great PF touch. he may not be an all star, but he won't be a hustle guy from the bench because of the lack of offensive skills. randle knows what to do on the block. pyscho T? he is a true deer in the headlight. even in college, his game was all about hustling and over powering, but he never had kind of ball skills, touch, and instict.

favors with 7ft 4 wingspan still doesn't have consistent post up game.

and honestly, wingspan is important for defense, but for offense, it's standing reach i care more about. favors has 9ft 2 inch standing reach. so basically favors on paper has probably the best combination of power and size out of all PFs in today's NBA.

actually 41pts for college is more like 60pts in NBA. less possessions and only 40 min game. and lack of ISOs. i can't hate on what he did today. he was the man today. mad props
