But we are getting closer to a higher draft pick so we got that going for us which is nice.

Have faith Yell. The jazz are forging a future. To forge something you have to go thru the fire. This season is that fire. Next year Jefferson, Lucas and Biedrins (at least) will be gone. Burke, Burks, Hayward, Kanter, Favors and Gobert will be better. Neto should come over and the Jazz will land a very good pick and another late 1st round pick in a loaded draft. Plus I fully expect a while new coaching staff next year. Not to mention some financial room going into free agency.

If we are this same team next year then I'll join you in bein pissed. But for now stay the course my fellow Jazz fan.

Yell, welcome back. Still down under?

Is the punch line "Jabari Parker"?

If so, then it's a damn good joke. Lose to the 76ers to end their losing streak and the Jazz will start climbing in the "tank rank" again.

I agree that the lineup is a mess. My only hope is that DL keeps shedding overpriced veteran talent, hires a bad-*** coach to replace Corbin and turns the team over to the Core5 + two new draft picks + Gobert/Neto. Gotta lick up a top 3 pick this year and they're actually sitting in pretty good shape IMO.

The key to it all is a successful tank and a new coach.

I like the over all tone. However the Jazz can make solid improvements to the rotation/bench via free agency.

how many high draft picks before we use them.
do we need 15 lotery picks on the roster to rpevent wahsed up has beens to start and play major minuteS?

The crazy thing is I've heard Corbin admit that alec deserves to be a starter, just isn't right for this lineup

What does it matter whether Burks starts or not? He got 34 mins. tonight; RJ played 18.
Perhaps DL envisions Burks as a 6th man. And I see nothing wrong with that. He can provide scoring punch as the starters come out and then finish the game, which is much more important than starting. IMO, Jazz need to bring in a starting SF for next season. I did think Marvin MIGHT be the answer as the starting PF, playing 20 mins with Kanter coming off the bench, but I'm no longer sold on that idea.

Maybe burks cares whether he starts or not

If he does mind he's not showing it
Because the Jazz tries to copy the Spurs and Thunder, not the Sixers or Minnesota.
Yes, and throw the Clips in with the Spurs and OKC. Wouldn't mind the jazz signing a Good defensive vet, who knows his role like Carroll. But give Burks and Hayward most the minutes. Still pissed Corbin wouldn't play him down the stream last year, he's had a nice season this year.

We all hope you're right, but the anxiety about the possibility of Corbin continuing is increasingly discouraging many of us.

wtf

marvin or jefferson could start. not BOTH.

now burks and or kanter ened to start. preferably both.
but no reason to start both of those vets who wont be here next year

Thats good of alec to not show it.

Earlier this year i heard on the radio that his agent had said publicly that alec wanted to start.
Maybe that has changed

There are alot of teams that bring a scorer off the bench.

But how many teams bring thier BEST scorer off the bench?
Or for that matter, thier TWO BEST scorers off the bench?

I'm sure that's true, but if you asked all players their choice, they'd choose to start. For all we know Ty has told him he'll get his minutes in a 6th man role, and will have a chance to start. If you watch his mannerisms on the court there's no way he's disgruntled.

I agree and thats nice of him.

But maybe he wants to start more than he shows and when the jazz offer him a contract this summer he turns it down because he hopes to leave utah and land in a place where he can start.
