If you can't see government involvement in this narrative, then I can't really help you. There are a LOT of people who want to change the subject and this is part of that. Now that the super top secret bylaws have been released we see that what Sterling done and the punishment are only not in the same ballpark, but not in the same universe. Contract law is pretty literal and doesn't do "penumbras." Normally the target would collapse and run away. But Sterling doesn't give two rips about his legacy or reputation. He will hire a nasty lawyer and sue the NBA. Discovery should be interesting.
