What's new

12/10: Jazz vs. Magic, 7pm MST, FSN

The game's too fast for him right now. You can't run if you don't know where to go. I still like Hayward, but he needs the D-League. Evans, on the other hand, I'll be sad to see him go. We just have to find him minutes. I really believe the kid could take Elson's minutes and it would be better. And I'm really starting to like Elson. Evans can just play.

You'd want a kid who doesn't weigh 200 pounds to be an NBA center?

I'd like to see him try. Most 2nd unit centers are not big post scorers. Look, I couldn't actually defend giving his minutes to Elson. Elson is playing great. But that kid could develop fast. He's so athletic and plays defense the right way. I guess I just really like watching him play.

Great dominant performance by the Jazz. I really hope they talk with eachother after this game and come to the realization that if they play like that every night they can beat anybody in the league.

Let's hope this carries over to the Dallas game.

Over a joke thread? Nope.

Chill out man. I actually liked you on the old board. No need for any hate here, weez on the same team.

I don't know if you understand how much smaller and weaker Evans is than even most PFs. He doesn't even weigh what Deron weighs. He gives up 100 lbs on Jefferson. Have you seen his calves? Evans would make Chris Bosh - the RuPaul of bigmen - look like Shaq if they were matched up together.

Good point Numbs...

got me thinking though,

what are the chances we could pick up RuPaul? I think he would be a tremendous asset to this squad. Really would dominate down low.

I agree. Gordon needs to be sent to the D-league. He does have a lot of potential, but he needs time to develop. He simply will not be able to find any real playing time with the current Jazz. Give him a year to develop with the Flash. Evans should be sent down as well. Once Memo comes back, there will be no real time for either of them. The only way that they are going to develop is if they spend this season in the D-league, where they actually will get some playing time.

He just got 20 minutes this game. We cant send him to the D-League as you see Raja Bell has had minor injury problems that have sidelined him for a couple of games. Hayward is needed to eat some minutes. Hopefully he will have a breakout game sometime and get a confidence boost.

Hayward really needs to learn to run the curl better and I wish he could get some open looks. Not just the one or two he gets a game. He needs to get into the flow a little and with everyone ignoring him offensively it doesn't help his confidence. He needs to keep shooting even if he misses otherwise he will never make it in this league.

How come this game thread is dead? What a big win!!! Is it a holiday in SLC?? The stadium looked empty.. WTF!!!

Go Jazz!!!!

Not sure why, but I am very excited over the win. I also predicted the win over Orlando so dare I say I am a Jazz prophet? I think I do dare say that.

That block on Dwight is a good example that shows Big Al is a good individual defender and won't get overmatched in size and strength. Once he learns how to play help defense and box out, our defense will be even better than right now.
